It's a mix of Yakuza and investigative games. Story trailer looks serious business but the gameplay brings to mind the lighter moments of Yakuza.

Its weird to think that not too long ago yakuza was a pretty niche series, but now its blowing up all over the place with this and fist of the north star.

This looks interesting, i'm sure i'll get round to it once i get through yakuza 0-6 :shifty:

English versions (well English subbed versions anyway) of the trailers are available...

I was disappointed when I saw the gameplay footage. Seemed a lot more Yakuza than I was expecting after the story trailer. Then I watched a demo walkthrough and the map is literally Kamurocho. That just seems lazy at this point.

Cool, I've tried Motor Raid on an arcade emulator and it's like Wipeout meets Road Rash.

Looking good, the appearance of ono-michio certainly made me laugh.

I wonder if it'll only take place in Kamurocho, or whether places such as Sotenbori might feature.

I know he's had a few roles in some Indie titles, but it's nuts to me that he's working in the big leagues now. Good for him! :toot:

"Judgment"... the name triggers me. I know that it's a perfectly valid term and evidence shows that it was the original spelling, but... harumph. Eye of Judgment on PS3 was bad enough but a few years have passed and I've nearly got over that now. Judgement.

Anyhow, the game looks strawb-floatin' great!

Dual audio?

I judge that worthy of a Day One purchase.

I think reviews on this are going to be quite divisive - the yakuza games are so much their own genre and while i love them for their weirdness, i can see why some people might really bounce off them for the same reasons.

An Edge 6 isn't the mark of a bad game regardless
