Hope you got it in the recent sale at £15.99? It’s back up to £39.99 now

I didn’t unfortunately, no. I knew nothing about it. I was thinking of getting it on Xbox One though, so maybe it’ll turn up on GamePass soon.

I've been trying so so hard to enjoy this whilst playing it via Xbox Gamepass, but the lack of any kind of pause/slow/accelerate time just keeps making it more frustrating than anything else.
The instant something happens then you're just having to scramble all over the place and can't react properly because you can't pause the timer. And if you're trying to satisfy an objective and something unexpected happens then you just don't seem to be able to respond in the way you seem like you should in a management game.

Then, in the early game at least, you can go through prolonged periods of literally just having to sit there and wait for money to slowly trickle in so you can afford something, and with no accelerate feature it means you're literally just putting the controller down and waiting for about 10 minutes.. Then after you've unlocked about the third island money suddenly becomes completely trivial, because all you do is travel back to a previous island that has a ton of money and income, do all of your research and expeditions there, then just keep valuable fossils and sell them on your newest island for quick cash.

It can also be insanely frustrating for the same dinosaur incubation to fail 3 or 4 times in a row (Costing you the full price each time) even when your viability is 70+%.

I also completely gave up on even attempting to build a Gyro Ball attraction. If you don't get it perfectly right first time, or even just accidentally cancel the path layout, there seems to be no way to go back into it. So if you cancel out to demolish an incorrectly laid piece of track I can find absolutely no way to go back to re-laying the track. The only method I found was to completely demolish the entire thing (for only a partial refund) and then start all over again, meaning payout out construction costs over again.
At the same time, the only way to lay monorail track seems to be go into the actual monorail station construction which then gives you an option to switch to track. This wouldn't be so bad, but if you don't have enough cash for another monorail station then you're locked out of laying track for your existing stations until you build up the money again. Not much of a problem later in the game but maddening in the early game.

I’d probably agree with all your points. The challenges at time can be intense but there’s never a chance to react. There’s always some piece of #### breaking down a fence even after you’ve done your best to meet their needs.

I’ve played around a bit in sandbox but it’s still really that much fun. I really want the 1993 dlc but as annoyed and stressful the games made me I can’t bare to spend £20.00 to feel the same  :fp:
