Not true! In my ideal world, money and therefore shops would not exist, so there would be no such thing as shoplifting. :P

It'd be easy to steal, but there'd be nothing worth stealing

You can't steal the dreams of children  .

Dreams of children are the property of the state!

I did actually just buy my Mum some Pro grade compost for her birthday this week :shifty: .
She was actually really happy as she has some plants being delivered this weekend.

I pay for things from honesty boxes all the time (there are sweets sold like this at work). On my recent holiday we bought some cakes and stuff from a farm by paying in an honesty box. All over the country people sell eggs like this for example. All proof that the majority of people will pay honestly for things even when they could get away with stealing.

I guess you're just one of the bad ones ;)

Could you make it rain dildos like that guy did in Second Life?

I've done Jury Duty, I had two cases over two weeks both were pretty interesting. A big gangster case kicked off at the same time so loads of people were livid that they had to spend at least three months doing jury duty.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Sorry for the bump, but has anyone done Jury Service during Covid? I have it monday morning at 9am, but the email says just below that, don't come in on your first day unless asked, and someone will be in touch before to let you know. I tried ringing them several times on thursday and friday without being able to get through. The phone line doesn't open again til monday at 9. From the wording, I guess I should not go, but it's probably worse not to be there when they're expecting you than the other way around.

They've written you a letter saying don't come unless told to and they haven't told you to. Fire up a good video game and enjoy the fortnight off work until they need you :toot:
