Well after the move they pulled with Tomb Raider I won't be supporting their 'Just Cause' at all.

I'm almost tempted to buy this at launch I enjoyed JC2 so much.

It's amazing how much of the game felt wrong to me, but it was still a great blast. When you ran around you felt too floaty, the shooting mechanics were naff, the cities were boring and didn't feel alive and I didn't like their 'wanted' system.

But the hook-shot. The infinite parachutes. Able to jump on top of cars with a single button. Able to jump on top of frigging planes with a single button. The sheer size of it all. And it can be very pretty at times.

There's a lot they could improve on and still keep the things I love, so I'm very optimistic.

They're also begging for retweets now too.

They asked for retweets and follows from the off. Retweets target (1k) was met, I think.

edit: they've got their 10k followers.

Never played the others (got lost amongst the endless 'free' PS3 games on PS+) but that looks like quite a laugh.

It looks nice, but what you're doing seems to be more of the same from JC2, which was one of the only game that, admittedly after quite a while, made blowing stuff up routine and even mundane.

If it is just that then for me it'll be a case of FC3/FC4; more of the same but it's difficult to complain when you're having such a good time.

The troops, silos and stuff do like the exact same as JC2, albeit with a nice filter over them

I'll probably get it near launch anyway but it really depends on what "holiday 2015" actually means

Even if it's just cause 2 with better production value I'd probably love it, a lot of Just Cause 2 felt cheap to me; the character animations weren't great, the cities were boring and felt empty, the world was very large and the vitas were amazing but too boring to explore slowly at ground level, the wanted system was rubbish, the enemy AI wasn't great. At least from the trailer I get a massive feel the character animation are much better, but it's difficult to tell the rest. I'm hoping since GTAV has been out a year and a half they have learnt a lot about building a world that feels alive. I'm optimistic though, despite it's flaws, I still love JC2.

Considering I platinumed JC2, had over 100 hours play time, and was 90%+ on completion (it's actually impossible to 100%, might I add, and I'm not sure the actual possible top percentage is fully know), then yeah, I'm pretty hyped for more of the same!

EDIT

THAT LOOKS LIKE A DOUBLE GRAPPLE
