I'm assuming you're taking the piss and not wanting parents to beat the confidence, happiness and actually wanting to try to get anywhere. If you're told for 3 hours a day you're going to amount to strawberry float all why would you even bother trying?
Yeah it is largely humour, but I do think that how we treat and reward kids does need a bit more looking at, I remember for example when I was working in nurseries it was one nursery had policies which meant that kids that got rewards tended to be the naughty ones who had been good for 5 minutes for a change so those who constantly tried hard and were constantly polite got overlooked when it came to praise. I could talk about it for ages but basically I was overstating and taking the pee.
The Krampus video was age restricted and I don't have a youtube account. Would be interested to know what you thought. I remember we snuck into see this at the cinema after Star Wars Force Awakens Crimbo 2015 at like midnight. I didn't know anything about it including it was a horror film but had heard of Krampus as a folkloric anti santa. I liked it, as cool as horror films are that have an underlying sense of dread in the build up, I like films that start off one way then veer into terror (a bit like from dusk till dawn). At the start I genuinely thought I was watching a pure comedy about a dysfunctional family (and I was somewhat enjoying that for what I thought it was) so it was unexpected when it went into horror. I enjoy chrimbo films and its a pretty unique to blend a chrimbo with horror and comedy. I loved the look of the film, nice mix of festive and gothic imaginary which I found cool....I'm going to watch it again now you've reminded me
