Not sure that's entirely true.

I actually loved it, they made them tougher and made all the bare space in the levels feel more meaningful. I kinda wish that had been the main game. Definitely different enough to warrant playing them imo. My only gripe with them is an extension of this Pro tip: Elfilin tells you once you've found all the soul pieces in an area, so you know when to move on. The gripe is that you have to finish the level for soul pieces to count, you can't just collect them and then back out of the level. Since each 'level' is an entire world of levels combined + tougher boss, it can take a while to run through it if you only missed a few pieces. If you miss one, you're better off just restarting since you'll have to replay it all again anyway.

So I think this is a solid 8/10 game for me.

I enjoyed it and has a lot of fun ideas but I kinda felt like it ran out of steam a bit towards the end. World 3 is without a doubt the high point but World 6 felt a bit bland and repeated a lot of ideas.

I'm gonna go back and see if I can 100% it. Which is definitely a good sign but I don't think it reaches the heights of Nintendo's own efforts.

Still really enjoying this. My fears of it being too short were completely unfounded. I haven’t even got to the post game yet (whatever that is, I have avoided reading up on it).

I don't know what direction I expected the story to go but it certainly wasn't that

It went full on anime  the part where You swallow the truck and hammer Y was like a scene from Dragonball Z

Yep

Feel like they just embraced every bonkers idea they had with this and it's all the better for it!

You folks need to play Planet Robobot on the 3DS. It goes even harder. It's great.

Got through the third tournament all the way to the final boss barely taking any damage and then that happened. I died with the boss on about half health. Damnit!

Rolled credits on this last night, but it would appear I still have plenty to do.

Fantastic game, completely exceeded my expectations.

I can believe it. I'm at 15+ hours and there is still plenty of genuinely new stuff still to do by the looks of it. Wouldn't be surprised if I end up with 20+ hours.

I think my playtime will end up longer than Luigi's Mansion 3, which seems strange, as that felt like a much more epic adventure.

I'm on 15 hours plus.

I'm gunning for 100%. Have the post game levels and some Waddle Dees to collect in Worlds 5 and 6. Also the final cup in the coliseum. Not sure if I'm missing anything but expecting 20 hours+ minimum, maybe 25.

I want to get there with the double health, I lost 2 bars of health to that boss so retrying wouldn't help lol

I'm on 20+ hours. Should I carry on with that file I'd started to stream the game with, I'd expect I could hit 25 or even get to 30. Depends how close I am to the 25.

I can't guess but I definitely want to know

It was the Battle of Blizzard Bridge level in the ice world - Take a detour and find a Maxim Tomato. I generally found the waddle dee tasks were in the order of progressing through the level. So being the last one and spending an hour scouring the level after the twin frostys, felt a bit silly to find it's in the beginning area (which you can't go back to once you're on the bridge), but hey ho, got there in the end!

Seems like I've finished absolutely everything except 2 figures which appear to be special ones. No idea what the requirements are, but I assume they're the last 2 things to do since I'm sitting at 98%.
