The main game is redundantly easy because of the CPU allies helping you at every turn, and takes about 5 hours to 100% it. I've heard the post-game got better when they finished adding free content via updates, but Idk, maybe worth getting if you can find it reeeally cheap.

If you have Switch online, check out Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby Superstar in the SNES package too!

youre complaining about a game aimed at kids being to easy?

Most games are aimed at kids, and most games aren't as braindead as Star Allies.

Pfft baby

This was my first Kirby game. Really was a lovely experience

glad that your first experience with it was positive

Loved it! Did I read somewhere that you've played a few Kirby games? Any others worth playing? Is the other Switch game good? I have a Switch, 3DS and Wii U :D

Thanks Jezo and Shyguy - I will defo have a look at the 3DS games and the Snes one. I think I'll give Star Allies a swerve for now; I don't need platformers super-hard but want a little bit of a challenge.

Cheers :D

I can't guess but I definitely want to know

It was the Battle of Blizzard Bridge level in the ice world - Take a detour and find a Maxim Tomato. I generally found the waddle dee tasks were in the order of progressing through the level. So being the last one and spending an hour scouring the level after the twin frostys, felt a bit silly to find it's in the beginning area (which you can't go back to once you're on the bridge), but hey ho, got there in the end!

Seems like I've finished absolutely everything except 2 figures which appear to be special ones. No idea what the requirements are, but I assume they're the last 2 things to do since I'm sitting at 98%.

That Defeat two Mr Frosty challenge without getting hit is a pain in the arse.

You can say that again, but I found that defeating Sillydillo without taking damagewas harder!

Last few waddle dees to find and then I've got some cranking to do!

I just started this! I've not played many Kirby titles before; only (the excellent) Kirby's Block Ball to any great extent.

It's a real treat and I really enjoyed the opening. Kirby becoming a car is amazing  . I can't play any more at the moment, though, 'cos the heat is just too uncomfortable.

Think you should love it Jawa - it's basically Nintendo's take on Fallout!

Welcome to the party Jawa and poshrule :toot:

Have you had much of a chance to play since starting - how are you getting on with it?

I'm on the second world, just done the concrete level earlier in the week.

Bern to busy to jump on again but I said to my wife she would like it and now seems to be on it all the time :dread:

There is a fair amount of endlag so you can't just spam it constantly. I don't remember ever dodging when doing the clear without damage anyway, except Silly Dillo's rolling attack, which slows down for you to dodge anyway, you can just run away from every attack. Alternatively just use Ice.

why dont you challenge yourself to do them all no damage no dodge?

As in... all the bosses? If you catch my drift...

Why not

Gonna give this a go either tomorrow or tuesday. Haven't touched the game since finishing it so I'll be rusty af. But it's Kirby, how hard could it be?

Welp, here's my 3rd attempt. To my surprise, no power Kirby is actually pretty strong. They balanced him well. I also discovered during this that doing the slow-mo perfect dodge actually gives Kirby a much bigger frame advantage. I thought it was just slowed down to give the player more time to react, but no. In some cases it would appear doing a perfect dodge is the only way to make use of stars produced from some attacks.

As a side-note, I mentioned a few pages back about my minor gripe with the game being that it doesn't have any indication that 2 of the figures are locked behind making multiple purchases at the cafe and stat buff shop. I've since stumbled upon that it actually does! Some of the '?' spaces in the figures list are a bolder gray; pressing A on these ones actually tells you their requirement. Now I just feel silly.
