Childhood dogs were always dachshunds (3 total, 1 is still with us) but I can't see us getting a family pet until we move to a bigger house.

2. Why that username: When I signed up for ONM in 2006 I was a huge Iron Maiden fan. They had a song Wrathchild which I liked, but I was too edgy and mature to want "child" in my username so I made it shorter. I don't like this username anymore but I guess I keep it here due to the heritage for that time. I usually go by Voluntaryreboot these days, which is another username I don't like.

5. Job: Senior UK Commercial Analyst in the container industry. I do market analysis, forecasting volumes, customer insight etc etc. Been doing this for 4 years and was promoted to the senior UK role in October, having previously focused on Southampton only. Longer term career prospects are extremely promising. My next development thing is to start line management as I bring in someone to train as an analyst working for me and picking up the pieces I've started dropping because too many people want me to do too many things.

6. Hobbies: Some people may remember from before Covid I was big into Pokemon TCG but recently I've sort of grown away from it - it's been on ice since March 2020 and I've had to fill that time with new stuff. Back into gaming, enjoying exercise (mostly big walks but also a splash of strength training), and just trying to find connections with people locally / reconnect with old friends who I dipped away from during my TCG era. There's signs that in person play might come back from March or April but I'm not sure the game will have the same appeals for me that it once did. I was on my way to qualifying for my third World Championships invitation, so I sort of feel like I should press for that, but I dunno.

7. Why did you join GRcade? I followed ONM > SONM > GRCade lineage, though to be honest with TCG I drifted more towards Twitter instead of message boards so don't post that much.

8. Have you ever owned a pet at all? If so, could you tell us anything about him/her? Perhaps if you haven't, is there any animal you'd want as a pet, and why? My parents have but I live alone and couldn't give a dog the life it would deserve. I don't really like cats enough to want one of those.

2. Why that username: From a Delta Force Black Hawk Down clan I joined called Team Muppet. Had to pick a Muppet and unsurprisingly all the good ones were taken.

5. Job: Meteorologist/Civil Servant. Combining a job people think they can understand because they can see it happening out the window and the Daily Mail's standard punching bag. Eight years of learning to never say 'it will definitely happen' means I can longer fully commit to anything.

Hobbies: Video Games (mainly single player these days, lot of military strategy), Board Games, Reading (military history, fantasy, sci-fi and politics), watching Twitch/YouTube, and watching TV programs about property (I want a three-bed house on the seafront, I have a budget of £80k, I don't speak any Spanish and I've never visited. Oh and I intend to moan about the space in all of the properties, and offer well below asking price because I'd need to buy a car). I find it incredibly difficult these days to stay engaged with anything so I tend to flit around.

7. Why did you join GRcade? Why did I join? Haven't a clue. Probably something to do with NGC and winding up on GR.

8. Have you ever owned a pet at all? Kind of. My family have dogs, and I was still living at home when they got them. My partner has two cats which I guess are now also my cats. One has only a few teeth left, sneezes all the time and is obsessed with being warm and getting food at the correct time. The other one can't meow properly, likes sitting on me in bed, and likes wandering about outside. These days I'm not sure if it is to be friends with/yell at other cats or go find more food. Managed to 'train' them both to sit for their food, though the first cat will never learn not to meow incessantly. My partner has been trying to grind me down for over a year over getting a dog.

8. Have you ever owned a pet at all? Had some fish as a kid, my kids now have a rabbit. Im not an animal person at all and I can get pretty anxious around them, dogs especially, which makes for great fun when the neighbours have a rottweiler, a literal nightmare animal from my point of view.

2. Why that username: Shortened from OrangeRakoon to match the Switch's character limit. I first came up with it for a save file on Field Commander on the PSP, essentially an Advance Wars clone, so wanted something similar to "Orange Star" from that series. In Link's Awakening there is an orange-y raccoon character, and I spelt it with a k as was kool and fashionable at the time. I do prefer OrangeRKN or just orkn now, there's too much legacy in gaming handles etc. to easily make a change.

7. Why did you join GRcade? I joined ONM when I started reading the magazine in the lead up to the Wii launch, which I got that Christmas. My activity there ebbed and flowed, but was at a high near the end when I got modded (by Wrathy iirc) which led to us setting up and me administrating SONM. First heard of GRcade when Karl made contact for affiliation, then I snuck my pink name promotion on the SONM merger and have been stuck here ever since :toot:

10. Have You Ever Been In A Car Crash? Dont know if it counts as a crasg but once my bonnet flipped up, the safety catch on it failed and it smacked into the windscreen while I was doing about 90kph. I was able to pull over and stop without further drama thankfully
