2. Why that username: Was originally rubixcube which was a pun on gamecube and a Rubik's Cube, changed to Rubix78 which was my birth year than I lost the 78 (still on gamertags)

7. Why did you join GRcade? Because Gamesradar didn't love us any more. I've been here since 2001.

Loads of pets, all dead - Sandy, Rex, Pepper, Pudding, khaleese, Magenta. No more pets for me, I'm bring up 2 daughters on my own.

1. Username: Kerr9000

2. Why that username: I needed a name to go on Phantasy Star Online with on the Dreamcast, I decided on Kerr after the Character Kerr Avon from the BBC Sci Fi show Blakes 7. I added the 9000 on the end because I was choosing a Robot Character and wanted Kerr to sound more robot like so figured some kind of model or serial number on the end would do that and I guess 9000 came from the idea of sort of Terminator T800 sort of thing. Kerr Avon in Blakes 7 was a cold self interested Computer Expert who was self interested would sell anyone out to save himself but was cool as heck, this is nothing like me but I have always felt like I needed to be a little tougher and to get a sort of pinch of Avon going in my personality.

5. Job: Current Job is basically a Part time Shelf Stacker/Sales Assistant. I have been lots of things, I was a Pub Manager, a Grade 6 Nursery Worker mentor all sorts of stuff. Was always looking for the job I wanted till I had a breakdown and PTSD and then after a bit I did some soul searching and I changed up to looking for the job I could manage to hold down which would cause me the least stress possible

6. Hobbies: Video Games obviously, watching films, reading and watching stuff about true crimes

7. Why did you join GRcade?

Originally I was a member of SONM and decided that when we became affiliated with you all I would join here as it seemed the fair thing to do to try and get involved with the place we were involved with, then when SONM died I kind of drifted over to here properly.

8. Have you ever owned a pet at all? If so, could you tell us anything about him/her? Perhaps if you haven't, is there any animal you'd want as a pet, and why?

I have owned a dog before, and I have owned Hamsters and Rabbits, budgies, cockatiels, love birds, conures, senegals. My mum and dad used to bread birds and I used to help them, my mum always wanted to hand rear an African Grey it was one of her biggest dreams and life ambitions. She had started hand rearing one for someone, basically they had a breading pair of African Greys who threw a baby out to die, we had bird incubators and all the equipment so it was brought to us under the understanding the owner was going to sell it if it survived and we would get half of what it sold for. My mum then got ill, it started as a hernia and she went into hospital and I took over the hand rearing of the African Grey, unfortunately my mum got a lot worse in hospital and after a bit she passed away, I continued hand rearing the bird until it was silly tame and it went to its new owner, even writing this has made me tear up a bit, I am glad I got to see her dream through to the end for her, it was like a way to do one final thing for her.

2. Why that username: I was a weeb who used to cosplay. Tsunade was my first cosplay and so I used it as my username after I couldn't remember my "harpie_girl" password from ONM.

5. Job: I'm unable to work due to disability.
6. Hobbies: video games (duh) Cross stitch, art stuff, travelling when my health allows and sleeping
7. Why did you join GRcade? SONM was going and I didn't want to leave behind the guys there even though I didn't talk to them much, so I joined here, and I'm still a lurker.
8. Have you ever owned a pet at all? If so, could you tell us anything about him/her? Perhaps if you haven't, is there any animal you'd want as a pet, and why? I haven't ever had a pet, and due to circumstances I probably won't get one any time soon. If I could though I'd love a dog. I grew up with my nans two dogs that I loved so I'd love one of my own.

I really like the idea of this thread, its made me learn stuff about some people on here that I like already, but it does leave me wanting to ask more questions , I am not going to though as I don't want to ask anyone more than they want to answer.

Family pets - a dog when I was a kid, two dogs in my late teens and a cat.

My pets - a hamster when I was a kid (last time I ever allowed naming by pulling names out of a hat), fish that I never wanted but an overly enthusiastic friend bought them for me. I kind of co-owned a cat with my brother when we house shared then took her in towards the end of her life when she was getting stressed when my bother and sister-in-law had kids. Relatively recently I used to own ferrets (8 in all). Of all of them Caesar was my favourite. Whenever someone said "but ferrets bite, I saw that ferret bite Richard Whiteley once so that means all ferrets are bad" I could point to Caesar as an example of how ferrets can be. He was a clown, he was gentle, he had a weird thing about grooming my eyebrows and he was the only one of the 8 that I could walk on a lead. I loved them all but his death in particular devastated me. As a group they were really good for my mental health at the time. If I ever had pets again it would probably be ferrets but the trauma of losing 6 of them to cancer and Caesar to some horrible wasting disease hit me pretty hard. I'd like a dog but I'm not really in any position to right now.

I started on the Edge forums and moved over to Gamesradar when Future closed the Edge forums. I used to be much quieter.

Yes, we had a dog and a cat when I was a kid. Hopefully we'll get a pet when (if?) we ever get to move to a house.

Had a dog (Grey Labrador called Titus) when I was still a toddler but he was always rolling in gooseberry fool and my parents reluctantly had to let him go when my brother was born (he went to childless family friends who took great care of him for many years), a cat (a massive male tabby called Oscar, he was magnificent, stubborn bastard who will forever be missed), several fish and finally another cat (small male Scottish fold called Remi, he's my sisters and she'll almost certainly take him with her when she eventually gets her own place), Ideal (i.e. total fantasy) pet would be an F1 Savannah cat (huge domesticated cat/serval hybrid that looks like a miniature cheetah

7. Why did you join GRcade? I joined back at the old old site, early 2000s , I liked the site and was trying a few forums. I don't really do friendships offline but enjoy interacting with people so online forum is a good match for me. I like it here, friendly, very funny and it's a really lovely community which comes together when someone needs a hand.
