What’s the state of this on Switch now, have most of the major issues been patched? Are they still working on the games?

It's still bad. Frame skips galore and motion blur for anything beyond walking pace. If you can put up with that, I'd say its worthwhile. No idea about any other updates. All we can do is wait, but I'm not holding much hope.

I’ll keep holding out as I know Rockstar addressed the issues and said they were working to fix them so hopefully that should still be the case

I don't know how stable it is for Switch.

Honestly, I have played GTA III and Vice City 100% on PS5. I haven't seen any crashes or glitches. Apart from a few of visual glitches which didn't bother me that much. It was rock solid experience for me at most of times.

It’s been a while since the last so hopefully this has meaningful improvements

If it fixes the Switch version up so the horrible motion blur and lag disappears, I'll consider it a success.

Apparently the Switch patch is live now and it makes a ton of improvements

Be good to hear your thoughts DarkRula once you’ve had chance to have a quick go on each of them!

Well, after a short drive around on San Andreas - which is the one I had the most issue with - it is running a lot smoother than before. Still motion blur around, though seemingly less of it than before, but the experience is certainly a lot more pleasant.

That’s good to know at least, is the pop in still quite bad in places? Or was it on GTA 3 where cars would appear seemingly out of thin air just before you got to them?

They seem to have sorted that out, too. Just had a quick go of all 3 games and they do play a hell of a lot better now.

I never noticed it in the short drive I had, so I guess that means it's a lot better than before. You couldn't not notice it before.

I decided to drive on the wrong side of the road for a while. Didn't run into any unexpected cars.

Sounds like it’s a very much needed patch then! Now to wait for it to go on sale towards Christmas

So with these new patches is it worth forking out for?
