Of course, if the remasters are poor (and there are lots of ways they could be: incomplete soundtrack; original visuals; original controls; flight not completely overhauled) then this will review badly and subsequently underperform on release, further cementing Rockstar's position that it isn't worth releasing their games on Nintendo hardware.

The Switch has had Skyrim and Witcher 3; seems a bit insulting that Rockstar's follow up is to release a twenty-year old game that has already seen the light of day on most other platforms, and can be bought for mobiles for a few quid.

Whoa now mate, try to contain your excitement.

OK, done.

I'm expecting Rockstar to put in the minimum amount of effort with this. I'm hoping they surprise me.

Give me Vice City on Switch with updated controls and a fresh lick of paint and I'll buy it.

I just loved reading magazines and them printing the rumours of things you could find and then hunting them out myself  I spent ages looking for Bigfoot in SA, I remember there being photo shots in magazines that looked real back in the day

I'd love to play Vice City on the Switch.

Not sure if I'd bother with a remaster on the other platforms, but playing it handheld on a decent screen rather than a mobile really does appeal.

Not that bothered about 3 or San Andreas, but maybe I need to give them another chance. I just didn't click with their atmosphere as much first time round.

Makes sense, with this year being the 20th anniversary of GTA3.

Also, VCPR or bust.

Hard to believe I bought a PS2 20 years ago just to play GTA 3.

I wonder how it will play on the Steamdeck.

Given that GTA IV was patched a while back to actually remove songs that had their licenses expire, it'll be interesting to see what of the original soundtracks makes it into these games and survives.

I don't know if it's the same for video games, but I've read a few stories recently where the licensing costs for a lot of music these days for TV and other entertainment purposes is insane. £150,000 to use a song once, that type of nonsense.

I'll certainly be picking it up for Switch, and possibly also for Xbox.

Red Dead Redemption 1 is already 4K on Xbox One X/Series X. Wouldn’t mind a frame rate boost though.

Guessing these will be digital only releases, wonder if they will release them as a trilogy or separate over the course of so many months.

If it comes with the original soundtrack then that’d be a belter, but renegotiating such contracts is always a gooseberry fool show. How many movies are stuck without releases beyond VHS because of soundtrack rights? It wouldn’t be he same without the soundtrack.
