No it isn't. That neglects the fact that some cyclists didn't dope. In addition some didn't have access to the same facilities or money as armstrong, so even those that did dope arguably didn't do it as well as Lance.

I still think it's impressive what he did physically, but it wasn't a level playing field at all.

If you're certain everyone got exactly the same % increase in performance and had access to the same level of cheating, then yeah. If not, no.

Yeah but you could argue not all riders had access to the same legal training advantages like oxygen chambers, high altitude training etc. The scale of the doping in the 90s and 00s to me suggests it probably was a quite level (if totally illegal) playing field.

I'm not condoning it by the way, I'm just saying that given the scale of the cheating it probably isn't worth the hassle of voiding results as the actual physical achievements are probably as impressive as they ever were.

However, cycling is having a laugh if they expect us to believe it has suddenly all been fixed. Clearly something quite sinister was going on across the board and the various testing agencies and governing bodies were either criminally stupid or complicit in the entire scandal. I don't see any evidence of any reform or a serious attempt at getting to grips with the situation.
