Can I get people's opinions on this laptop? I'm tempted to get it but I think I might be better off waiting a year as AMD are promising laptops more powerful than the new games consoles. Also it's kind of expensive.

I've started to have to travel a lot more also I'm at my girlfriends most weekends so I kind of want something I can carry around and game on.

I normally get gaming laptops from PC Specialist.

I don't think the 14" pc specialist stuff is all that great.

I've never really been that up on the gaming laptop scene but weren't Razor supposed to be one of the best brands for these sorts of things? I certainly recall reading good reviews of their kit in the past.

I would buy a ps4 and a tablet.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

that is an odd take - i find both quite irritating to use and he cant take his ps4 with him to his gf (well its probably as heavy as a gaming laptop  ) and then hes stuck with tablet gaming :dread:

If the internet in both places is quick enough you can stream the PS4 gameplay onto the tablet though!

I was being somewhat sardonic, but a PS4 would be cheap enough to just leave there.

I think laptops are kind of pointless these days. I'd rather have a tablet for easier media consumption and then use a keyboard cover or a bluetooth keyboard if I had some burning need to write a lot when not at home.

My internet sucks so I can't steam from it. My girlfriend would probably like to watch TV while I'm gaming.

Also I do development work and blender stuff which isn't happening on a PS4 or tablet.

Also I have to do a lot of traveling for work so it'd be good to have a laptop that I can game on.

I don't know why so many people are always anti gaming laptop. Sure you can't upgrade the graphics card, but you can't upgrade an iPad either.

I bought a Predator 1660ti laptop at Christmas time, and it's fantastic. Hooked up to my 27" 1440p monitor at home, and I can easily take it away with me when I'm traveling. Takes up much less space on my desk than my old tower, it's quieter. Games run much better than on my PS4 and at a high resolution.

I can easily add more memory to it down the line and add an extra couple of internal SSD drives.

The spec on the one you're looking at Lex-man is incredible and will do you well for years to come.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm in need of some laptop buying advice. My current laptop is falling apart, inside and out, and I feel it won't be long till it goes to a better place.

I'm after a new laptop under 500 quid, not too big, but with lots of memory to store music files. It's been about 8 years since my last, so I don't know where to begin. Preferably from Argos so I can use my Argos Card there. Thank!
