Laptop won't turn on. Is it strawberry floated?

Was fine yesterday when I turned it off, today I got this. It's Windows 8, and it keeps trying to reboot and it gets as far as this screen then tries to reboot again, rinse and repeat. There's nothing external connected to it. Something wrong with the hard drive or blu-ray drive, maybe? Anyone experience this error before? I really need to get a bunch of work gooseberry fool off it, urgently.

Yeah you need to try repairing the boot sector using the tools covered in that link. They've been corrupted.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like it's off to the repair ship then as I can't understand half of what I'm supposed to do.

Have you got a Windows 8 disc? If so you can at least try an auto repair without too much hassle.
