Is there a way to post a Spotify link via the mobile app? I get a totally different URL link from there.

Remove the red bits, add the blue bit. Wrap in [Spotify] tags.

I love Apocalypso. I like Frengers more, but this album is pretty good as well.

I think Frengers has better songs but Kites is a better album. Does that make sense?

The new Foo Fighters album is out :shifty:

Have to say, I'm enjoying it a lot. It's quite a fun record in places and parts of it are definitely a bit of a departure from their standard stadium rock sound.

It's so stupid but I love it. It's kept me distracted from how gooseberry fool real life is for an hour anyway.

Basically a slightly funkier Queens of the Stone Age album featuring the legendary John Paul Jones (with Dave Grohl and Alain Johannes).

I've tried so many times to get in to this in the past, but never enjoyed it. I gave it a go again today and I just don't like it. All the ingredients are there, but I find the singer's voice just isn't for me (I don't like most QOTSA stuff for the same reason, I don't like the 'spooky' tone).

I do like bands like Alestorm. I mean, I would listen to this stuff all the time but they're good distracting fun.

I do like QotSA (or at least, I like Songs for the Deaf) but I can't get into Them Crooked Vultures either, the album just doesn't work for me and I can't put my finger on why.

Love the Pogues anyway but re-listened to this bad boy from start to finito and love it. First two albums are my favourites.

10/10 for me!

Despite their 2nd album (Silent Shout) being such a belter, I've never actually listened to this one.

About half way through and I like what I've heard so far.

An album I keep coming back to. A great album and brings back loads of memories. I was lucky enough to see them play the album in its entirety during an anniversary tour a few years back.

Not sure this will gel with many on here judging by the genres that seem to get shared most in this thread but Ed Harcourt has always been one of those artists I've enjoyed following.

First heard him playing live whilst at uni in about 2005, he was the support act for someone who I can't even remember now and it was one of the few times where I've heard a support act and thought "I actually want to check out more of your music!"

This album is the one I consistently return to the most, it's just got such a gorgeous, rich sound to it.

Recently discovered The Paper Kites and have fallen in love with their album On the Corner Where You Live by.

I think they have a more folk based background, but this has a much more atmospheric sound with ringing, jangly electric guitars that I'm a sucker for. With great vocal hooks and impressive story telling lyrics I don't think there's a song I dislike on the album.

I'm re-exploring some of the albums I bought in the 90's. Today has been Kristin Hersh. I'm genuinely surprised that I bought this to be honest. It's pretty bland, I'm not overly keen on the vocals and it goes on for too long. "Your Ghost" is the only highlight on the album. 5/10. I'm looking forward to revisiting some other "classics" that I bought!
