Kinda flawed but not as bad as people say. It had some good moments. Talia Shire looked really old in this. Street fight at the end was hilarious.

Rocky Balboa - 7/10

Thought this was a fitting tribute. The rival was crap though, easily the worst out of all of them.

2 > 1 > 4 > 3 > Balboa > 5

Not sure what you've been smoking mate....but everyone knows there is no Rocky V.

Next thing you know, he will be trying to tell us there are 4 Indiana Jones films.

The Newton Boys 5/10 Interesting and with some nice lines, but a bit dry. The type of inoffensive film for a Sunday afternoon.

The Borderlands - 7/10 - Quite good and quite creepy in places. I loved the setting. Scary looking church in the middle of nowhere! The ending was a bit, erm, odd? I take it they ended up in the belly of the beast? Not sure how their cameras survived the acid, unless it only breaks down organic material? All in all, one of the better 'found footage' films out

A Most Wanted Man - 8

Really good with a brilliant turn from Hoffman. Huge plot holes and a story that didn't make much sense the way it was put across but with a brilliant ending. Miles better than Tinker Tailor.

Locke - 7/10

What a bizarre, dull but at the same time strangely compelling film. Not seen anything like it before.

I don't think it was Crystal Skull levels of terribleness. The premise was good, the execution was a little lacking. Not a popular viewpoint to have, and even Stallone thinks the movie is utter gooseberry fool.

I seriously want to watch IV again. That has to be the manliest movie I've ever seen. If he dies, he dies :datass:

I saw this at the cinema, first Rocky film I'd ever seen and I loved it, so pumped up for the final fight. Interestingly I think I've never watched the first or 2nd film fully, have not seen 3 at all but have seen 4, 5 and Rocky Balboa. Keep meaning to watch 3 on Netflix.

3 and 4 are very similar movies. Rocky is doing what he does best, personal tragedy happens, has to fight dude who caused it. If you like IV, you will like 3. Plus Hulk Hogan and Mr T are in it :D

Rocky III and IV are the best.

True Grit

It's pretty good, didn't like it any more or less than when I first saw it. The ending/epilogue is excellent, though.

7.5

Edge of Tomorrow - 9/10

Very hard to find a flaw with this. I think my only criticisms were that it ripped on Groundhog Day (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) and that it could have done with more violence. Other than that I thought it was absolutely superb.

Into the Furnace - 4/10

Saw this was on Netflix so gave it a bash. A very slow starting film, that whilst nicely shot and obviously very well acted never made full use of the location or cast. It seemingly took an eternity for anything to happen, and when it did, nothing came of it.

The pacing seemed all over the place. The dull parts took forever to get anywhere and whenever anything actually happened, the scene was over within minutes.

My gf fell asleep after about 30 minutes. I would not recommend this.

Magic In The Moonlight 5/10 Same experience I had with The Newton Boys; pleasant and interesting viewing but nothing more. Directors can and have done better.

I'm watching Thief, Drive had to have knowingly copied the opening of this right?

It's like the two scenes were made from the exact same script

The Guard 8/10

I enjoyed that. Gleeson was his usual self (excellent).

Edit - Holy gooseberry fool, this guy was in it and I only just realized it.

Spaceballs.

I think i'm too old to get the most out of this for the first time. 18-year-old me would have found it funny as hell. There were some clever bits that made me laugh, but a lot didn't.

Edge of Tomorrow - 7/10
Not too bad of an action flick. The time travel nonsense makes no sense, you really have to not think about it too much. And the ending strawberry floating sucked. If should have ended before the final rewind :fp: That final one makes no strawberry floating sense and ruins the whole point of the film. The mech suits were cool.

Anchorman 2 - 7/10
Not too bad. It got some laughs and it was never going to be as good as the original film. My issue is that the story was a bit incoherent, they had some gags and didn't know how to link them well.

Robocop (the new one) 5/10
The Spiderman 3 of Robocop films. Emocop :fp:
