I really liked it. Tobey Maguire pulls some amazing faces.

Have you seen 3? Because the faces get even more amazing....

Many years ago and I promised myself not to watch it again. :dread:

I think she did get paid all the money in the end.

Screenrant reckon the settlement was for $40m and her team were talking about $50m in lost earnings, so she definitely did alright especially as that was on top of her $20m upfront.

Not bad for a film that was mediocre at best.

Ah that's okay then. *phew* It was keeping me up at night to think she might be financially struggling.

I don't think anyone knows for sure how much the agreed settlement was. Settlements usually end up being a compromise amount.

Also, nobody really knows what else was in the contract in terms of Disney's liability under unexpected circumstances (like a pandemic). Did Disney pay because they were liable or just to avoid a messy lawsuit?

It wouldn't be a good look for them fighting a huge Hollywood star in court for underpayment, even if they were technically in the clear.

No Time to Die.

A fantastic, surprisingly emotional climax to this era of Bond - I wasn't expecting him to die on that island, but I reckon it might've been Craig's suggestion and if so then I'm glad he went out on his terms.. The cinematography, action and score - with a couple noteworthy throwbacks  - are all superb.

The films weakest aspect, as seems to be the consensus, was its antagonist and I definitely would've liked to have seen more from Paloma (the rookie agent, seen only briefly at the Spectre party), however none of this deters me from ranking No Time to Die as my third, perhaps even second favourite of the Daniel Craig era.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

First time I've watched it. Thoroughly enjoyable and different enough from the Harry Potter movies to keep things moving. Will watch the sequel next time the kids are over.

Watched it this evening and it was fine, but the problem is its set before Infinity War/Endgame and the side characters don't appear in that so it can't result in anything particularly momentous in the grand scheme of things, the curse of all prequels.

I think the biggest influence it will have in the future is setting up Yelena with the post credit scene explaining what she's been upto between Civil War and post Endgame and linking in to the Hawkeye show.

The only thing they could do is use Taskmaster again in the future. Which they probably will do I guess.

But yeah, apart from that I can't see it having much impact. They really did release it at the wrong time.

I agree. My girlfriend and I looked at each other in bewilderment, just like the Mexicans did when the Three Amigos did their salutes.

Free Guy - 6/10

Was expecting this to be pure trash, and it mostly is I guess, but overall it somewhat exceeded my expectations and ended up being an okay movie to watch on a Sunday evening. I think the main reason I was pleasantly surprised is that I didn't expect it to have any kind of actual plot - whilst the 'he's an AI from another game that's finally woken up!' story wasn't exactly a revelation it was still more that I was expecting from the movie so I count that as a win. Jodie Comer was decent in it, and I quite enjoyed the Channing Tatum cameo as well

Mayhem.

It’s got a couple of nice moments being the comedy version of The Belko Experiment but just… just watch the Belko Experiment.

Monstrous.

This movie is supposedly about Bigfoot but so far it’s just been two lesbunums talking about their feelings for an hour.

When are they getting to the fireworks factory??

strawberry floats sake, the title was a metaphor, for the monster….inside us.

And then Bigfoot did a Drogon and killed the symbolism.

This movie was a mess.

Halloween (original)- 8/10

Another really good film with Halloween in the title! It was surprisingly slow but the soundtrack is great and I love the ending.
