Space Jam: A New Legacy - 2/10
25 years later and this is the best they can do? This film feels exactly like the corporate product it is, replete with some ready player one nostalgia bait type bullshit that permeates the entire film. Amazingly LeBron is a worse actor than Jordan.

Black Widow 7/10: I liked the bits which weren't CGI fight scenes. I thought the opening scene was the best in the film.

At the end where Black Widow faces off against TaskMaster on the ground my initial reactions was FFS isn't this over yet, luckily that bit was for once short

Wonder Woman 1984 5/10 It's too long and I didn't like the McGuffin wish plot.

Zack Snyder's Justice League: Part 1 - 6/10

Visually spectacular, and much better than the original version, though there are certainly still some issues.

There was no way i was ever going to watch the whole thing in one sitting, but thankfully the blu ray edition comes on two discs so there's a handy cut off point just after half way.

Do you seriously have to change discs to finish watching a movie

That's amazing

I was never gonna watch it in one go anyway, so it hardly matters.

The extended Lord of the Rings films are the same. It's nice to have a little deliberate intermission :slol:

When we first started going out my partner brought the DVD version of Avatar to my place to watch, not realising it was spread across two discs and she had left the first one at hers.

Even then it was still too long.

The Suicide Squad - 9/10.
Fantastic, James Gunn was exactly what this franchise needed. Excellent film, enjoyable, wacky, unexpected and crazy all the way through.

Sounds promising, tbh this wasn't really on my radar until now as the first one was dreadful.

My copy of Goodfellas has to be flipped over. It's double sided.

Zack Snyder's Justice League: Part 2 - 6/10

Again, flawed but likeable, parts of the epilogue in particular seemed a little unnecessary as it was teasing sequels which won't ever happen, but nethertheless, i have enjoyed watching this (Ezra Miller is not a great Flash though, they should have offered the role to Grant Gustin).

Miles better than the original Whedon version too.

Jackie Brown 8/10

That was really good, I don't understand why it's taken me so long to watch it. I remember starting it and then turning it off pretty quickly so maybe young me couldn't hack the lack of guns

Jungle cruise. 8/10. An enjoyable romp in the mold of pirates of the Carribbean and the mummy. Would happily watch again. Rock, Blunt and Whitehall were great together. Ignore the reviews from the stuffy film critics and listen to the ones that get life!

The Suicide Squad - 9/10

Stunning leap in quality from original movie to this.

It starts by turning up the action to 10 and keeps going until the ending which just goes strawberry float it and turns it up to 11.

Excellent cast without fault and strong effects too.

It's basically Guardians but with blood and swearing.

King Shark is my personal fave but I'd happily watch them all again in the sequel.

A very enjoyable cinema experience and a nice little stand alone entry into the DCEU.

Wish my image sig would work

Godzilla: King of the Monsters- 6.5/10

idk why this reviewed so badly; it was exactly what I expected it to be and as such I got exactly what I wanted from it
could have done with less of the human characters I guess

Birds of Prey

I absolutely loved that. The action was amazing and Margot Robbie is just awesome. Far, far better than I ever expected. So much fun.

The Nightingale

Ooft, that was a tough watch. Don't think I've watched a film so viscerally horrifying since Irreversible. A genuinely harrowing watch at times. Brilliant, though.

9/10
