I think that was the one I went to. Google says the support acts were:

The Peth (Rhys Ifans)
The Enemy
Kasabian

Jungle Cruise

Pretty run of them mill fair with the Rock being belligerent about taking care of uppity English folk played by Jack Whitehall (who I usually hate but is actually good here) and Emily Blunt who plays an old school Lara Croft type. An enjoyable movie that I reckon will get a sequel to iron out some of the loose ends...

8/10.

We were stuck in a queue of traffic that started in Somerset, so we took forever to get to Cardiff. I think it took us about 4 hours to get there in the end :dread: We managed to get in the park and ride, bus in and then have one drink outside the venue before going in, and as we got half way across the pitch, kasabian started. A mate of mine set off not long after us and becuase they tried to get to the centre to park, missed half of oasis.

I've never seen traffic like it for a regular gig. Took an hour to get on the motorway in the first place.

The big problem with Halloween Kills is there weren't enough people chanting "Evil Dies Tonight".

Yeah it was ridiculous all that chanting. Oddly I couldn't tell what was different about the ending in the extended cut though.

Encanto - 7/10

Solid Disney action - not up there with recent highlights like Moana but it's still an enjoyable family friendly watch. Songs are good for the most part but the mix is terrible for actually trying to work out what is actually being sung at times!

IIRC the original ending before they changed it for the theatrical release was Laurie hearing Michael kill Karen over the phone. Did that get put back in?

I'd probably give it an 8 as the songs are a real grower (We don't talk about Bruno is up there with LMM's best) and the film itself does some new and interesting things. Didn't realise Stephanie Beatriz could hold a tune as well as she did either. We ended up pushing it through the soundbar because the TV mix was so terrible.

I was split between a 7 and an 8 for it in all honesty. I knew Beatriz could sing from Bojack Horseman but yeah I was still impressed with her on this, she's got a great set of pipes!

I don't think it's particularly new or interesting in terms of what it does - the plot and beats were pretty predictable from the opening song and setup of the magic is dying and it's her fault!!! but it does run through it all with bags of charm and a good sense of pace.

Despite the struggles with the mix I did think the songs were great, on a rewatch/listen I can see it growing on me even more.

It was a definite 8 for me. Better than Raya, not as good as Moana.

Raya was very middle of the road I thought. It got the job done and had some fantastic visuals at times, but I struggled to remain engaged with it really. Encanto is definitely a few steps about it

Nope it doesn't show her being on the phone or anything but during the killing it keeps flashing to Laurie in the hospital staring in the distant like she knows or something

I really didn't get on with Encanto and what seems like Disney's ongoing message that your family might treat you like gooseberry fool but they're still your family.

Plus the soundtrack is quite middle of the road for me.

It also does that annoying thing of having Spanish speaking characters speak 95% in English, only to slip into Spanish every so often for no real purpose.

I'll find out how many more and by who.
I agree overall it's such a waste of a film on this new trilogy with Laurie sat in the hospital for the entire film.
My favourite scene was the first couple though flying that drone in the house  dunno why I just found that scene quite funny.

Apologies I actually pressed the wrong thing and the extended cut wasn't playing last night. For some reason, Apple TV on amazon firestick and my laptop doesn't work properly. Just tried it on my phone and saw the alternative ending.
Yes her phone rings as Laurie calls her daughter but Michael picks up and just breaths heavily down the phone at which point Laurie tells him that shes coming for him
