He was contractually obliged not to shave his beard off as he was filming Mission Impossible VI: Mission Improbable during the reshoots that the intro was filmed in.

Mission Impossible: Fallout 7/10- Was never bored but felt it was a bit too long. The action was good but the plot was a bit all over the place.

Ant Man and the Wasp 7/10: For some reason I find all the talk about quantum stuff, the most unbelievable thing in the MCU, but managed to put that aside to enjoy it . Preferred it over the first one, was a bit more interesting, though the villains seemed a bit half arsed.

I feel this way too, and I can't quite put my finger on why.

I think because it's based in fact, but then complete bollocks, whilst with for example the Dr Strange Magic, it's like, yes this makes sense in that universe with the parameters we've been given.

For me, it's the magic in Dr Strange which is utter balls.

Watched American Animals over the weekend. It's a hard film to talk about without spoiling the enjoyment of some of the directors choices.

7/10 Worth a punt if you enjoy true stories and heist films.

Hated Batman Vs Superman and Suicide squad so have vowed never to watch justice league as it looks like more of the same. Wonderwoman remains their only decent superhero movie since Nolan's trilogy.

Iron Man 2 is a terrible movie. It just doesn't work on multiple levels.

Yep, Wonder Woman was decent, probably because Snyder wasn’t behind it.

Isle of Dogs. Utterly wonderful. So full of character and energy, like I watched 3 hours with of film in 2, yet each scene still had care and attention taken over it. 9

It's somehow even worse than both of those. Absolute dog gooseberry fool film.

A quiet place. No daft scores here, just a simple 9/10. Well acted and a brave film to make as the relative lack of speech will strawberry float off many a person.

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:

I've only recently started to pay more attention to Wes Anderson after watching The Grand Budapest Hotel a few weeks ago and loving it. I need more. MORE.

The Royal Tenenbaums and Fantastic Mr Fox are his best work (along with Budapest Hotel), you should try and see those first.

I'm particularly fond of The Darjeeling Limited too.

Definitely watch Fantastic Mr Fox if you liked Isle of Dogs I think - it’s a similar animation style and the story is a lot of fun. Also I really like Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, Royal Tenenbaums and The Darjeeling Limited. And Bottle Rocket. And Moonrise Kingdom.

Hell they’re all good. :slol:

Sherlock Jr - 9/10 - One of Buster Keaton's finest, crazy to think this is 94 years old!

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again 7/10- Suffers from having to use mostly songs that weren't good enough for the first film/stage production. Lily James is absolutely superb though.

Though it was unnecessary to kill off Meryll Streep though

As someone who detests Abba, I have to say that Mamma Mia and its sequel look strawberry floating atrocious
