We'll have no Mummy slander in here :capnscotty: :x :capnscotty:

Hey, I enjoy the Rachel Weisz Adventure as much as the next person, it's way better than it has any right to be, but it's no Indy!

Either way Jungle Cruise is a weak attempt at the same kind of thing

Not good enough.

You are now on the list :capnscotty:

Surprised it's taken this long in all honesty

Agreed, this is a real gem of a comedy film. I think a lot of people ignored it at the time or just thought it was Another Crude US Comedy Movie, but it's consistently hilarious in pretty much every way.

Great to see Ferrell not being typical Ferrell, Wahlberg is surprisingly good and Keaton steals every scene.

The Mummy is a great film, it has long been among my favourites.

Aye Jungle Cruise was fine but not great. I'm wondering if Red Notice will be much the same.

Red Notice looks absolutely dreadful to me. The poster alone looks completely generic:

Image

It screams Dwayne Johnson playing Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds playing Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot looking hot and it not having much else about it. Maybe a being a bit harsh but nothing I've seen of it suggests it has any kind of personality beyond that.

Also, Other Guys is one of the best comedies of the past decade for my money. Brilliant.

I forgot it was called the other guys, but looking it up I can see I've seen it and did find it pretty funny.

Any time Gator came out it cracked me up

Nah I agree I think it looks shite. Was hoping some people on here would watch and give it an alright score so that it could at least pass a weekday evening with some level of entertainment though.

Watched Man on Fire tonight, good film but Netflix literally have a photo of a kidnapped girl who is supposedly dead for half the film, being rescued alive as the menu image :fp: great job guys

7/10 feels right for Shang-Chi. I liked it but there was really dodgy CGI at times and Michelle Yeoh wasn't in it enough.

Red Notice - 7/10. Very enjoyable. Some CGI in the jungle and mine was a bit ropey but it was great fun. Johnson and Reynolds had great chemistry and brought lots of laughs. I knew once I saw the film getting panned by the usual film critic drips like the guardian that I would be great fun and it didn't disappoint. I hope there's a sequel.

One of my favourite Dwayne Johnson performances is actually Pain & Gain, he is so brilliantly stupid in that one i can't help but laugh.

His best role is comfortably in Moana, without a doubt but he's good fun in stuff like Jumanji and Central Intelligence.

One I haven't seen, which seems to be rated really highly is Fighting With My Family, directed by Stephen Merchant. Doesn't look like it's on any streaming services unfortunately.

It's a horrible film, turning a true story where people were tortured and killed into a comedy and making the killers the good guys is pretty disgusting.
