I've had my knickers in a twist all morning after today's interactions in the Election thread (and Calendarly not sending me strawberry floating conferencing details for an incredibly important upcoming job interview uuuuugh) so I'm being more snippy than usual even. As Skarjo said I think we really were aggressively agreeing with one another.

That’s a much better made up word.

It's funny, cause I've heard this said by some awelsh people. But Microwave is actually meicrodon.

Wasn’t that the bad guy in Dino Crisis 2?

That's pretty much how i would describe Death Proof.

Though it goes against my better judgement, i'm tempted to see what went on there to twist said knickers.

Terminator 2 - 10/10

I'd genuinely forgotten how fantastic T2 actually is. It's just a given that it's arguably the best action movie ever made but it's really nice to watch a movie you've seen a million times and still come away from it utterly entertained. It's a masterpiece

Little Monsters - 5/10

It’s not terrible, but it’s not great either. The uncle is annoying and Josh Gadd is an annoying prick.

But Lupita

I like so much more than the first one. The stunts in it are amazing. The helicopter flying under the bridge on the highway :datass:

Phantom Menace - 6/10

Started off my Star Wars rewatch with this and honestly I think I warm to it more and more each time. It has some pretty serious flaws, Jar Jar is awful, much of the dialogue is piss poor (although not AotC levels of bad) and there are serious issues with pacing. Despite that the 'duel of the fates' scene still holds up brilliantly and the pod race is still a great watch. Visually it's also far more interesting in terms of character and settings then anything seen in the sequel trilogy so far. In spite of the flaws I still had a lot of fun watching it, which is more than I can say for some of the more recent films.

It’s a rare sequel where it has purpose and a message, there was character development and it remains one of the greatest set piece and stunt films of the genre. So many iconic action scenes!
Mall punchup, storm drain bike chase, hospital escape, cyberdyne police shootout, freeway helicopter and tanker chase, steel works finale. Every action scene is memorable and yet somehow they build and get better as the film continues.

I love Terminator as a sci fi horror but T2 is probably the perfect sequel (second only to aliens)

Le Mans '66 - 8/10; Christian Bale and Matt Damon are fantastic, run time was a bit long my only complaint and good performance from Jon Berenthal. Bale's accent I think will draw comment, but I liked it Cor Blimey

Shouldn't Bale have a decent British accent with accounts to being British?

Your right, I'd read early reviews talking about his accent and then videos of people freaking out when they hear his actual accent. I found it a bit off putting at first but more comical as it went on.

I'm almost finished watching an Amazon Prime film called Terminus and bloody hell it's a massive pile of shite :slol: .

Even the fact that a background story is of the start of nuclear war can't save it from being strawberry floating boring. I hope the fictional world does blow itself up as at least that would be something :dread: .

The Hurt Locker - deeply, deeply uncomfortable viewing. Also, largely nonsense.
