Halloween Kills 8.5/10
Great sequel to the trilogy. Not as good as the first one I feel this is more of a filler but the many flash backs scenes to the past were nicely done.
Some cheesy moments that made lol too

Can't wait for the final in this trilogy.

Halloween Kills- 5/10

It's okay but criminally for a supposed horror film it's not scary and apart from maybe the beginning (which is the best part of the movie) it doesn't even try to be. Instead of building tension which the original and 2018 were effective at, this is just a succession of Michael killing extras. I saw a couple of minutes of Cats on Sky Movies earlier and that was scarier than this.

Also how do you not have Jamie Lee Curtis appear in one scene with Michael Myers in a strawberry floating Halloween film? She was in more danger from doctors knocking her over than Michael.

I did enjoy John Carpenter's cameo wearing a cape though.

I.D

A classic. Brutal and gritty, but tinged with sadness as the lead character (John) spirals hopelessly downwards

9/10

Shazam. Solid fun romp of a superhero film. Not too serious, not too ridiculous. 7/10

Black Widow - 7/10

This movie kind of just happened - it washed over me in a way that was impossible to call unpleasant but also hard to confirm that I was ever particular engaged in what was happening. I think I would have been more interested in a genuine origins story for Natasha rather than this odd mash up of flashback and quasi-contemporary action that we got. All of the cast we good (ignoring Winston obviously, he's never good outside of his wheelhouse) and each member of the "family" got a moment or two to shine, but they never really came across as fleshed out as I'd have liked. Florence Pugh's Yelena gets the closest but even then she is almost entirely characterised and framed by her differences to Natasha rather than anything specifically about her. Still, looking forward to where they go next with it.

Some of the CGI was surprisingly ropey and "cheap" looking in this in a way that hasn't stuck out to me about MCU movies for a long time, I thought the same about parts of Shang-Chi as well - have Marvel changed their CGI teams recently or something?

Bit like being the tallest midget but easily the best DCEU film for me.

Voyagers. 4/10

Horny space teenagers do horny stuff and some manage to hide in conveniently large ventilation ducts on a ship where every bit of space would be at a premium. Also bits that break on the ship are on the outside where it's dangerous, rather than inside these empty ducts.

Sounds like Moggy's space trip if he wins the lottery. :slol:

Anyone remember a film back in the 80's/90's where 3 kids build a spaceship out of garbage and then travel to a big spaceship where there is an alien. We then find out at the end that the Alien is JUST A CHILD AS WELL!

I thought it was called Voyagers but apparently not.

Edit - Found it! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089114/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

I don't know if it holds up, but I loved that movie when I was a kid.

First half of that movie is supremely good then it falls off a cliff once they're in space.

Jumped on IMDB to look at that Voyagers film. Within the Parent's Guide is this

Women are a huge threat in the film as they are heavily sexualised. They are stabbed and hit repeatedly.

My God. Sex is a threat! Destroy the other half so we don't have to deal with it!

To be fair, it's only the first half that contains all the violence to females.

A Beautiful Mind - 7 or 8 out of 10.

I enjoyed this, but it has quite a slow pacing. The twist in the middle is very good and I didn't see it coming. The guy from Truman show makes a good CIA agent. I didn't realise it was russell Crowe as the main character until the end either.
