Watching Mortal Kombat in quiet desperation is the English way.

Thank you!

I'm glad somebody has finally addressed my concerns.

Films now ended. No idea how, completely lost interest at the bit where Sonya does that thing with her ring.

Fantastic Mr Fox - 8/10

The better of the two Anderson animated films imo.

Moonrise Kingdom - 7/10

Better than Life Aquatic, but not as good as Darjeeling.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - 9/10

Anderson's finest work, just brilliant.

Palm Springs - 8/10

Enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to. Samberg and Milioti are excellent leads and the time loop story is approached in a way that manages to keep it from feeling tired.

I'm not sure if it's a product placement thing but I was convinced the beer they were drinking in the movie was going to be in some way critical to the plot because they had so many close up shots of the bloody cans!

It's actually fake, apparently the name is it has some meaning - something to do with a Buddhism theory or something, I can't quite remember, that's essentially a little nod towards the story.

The Last Jedi - 5/10

Not really as bad as I was led to believe, but it was still a great big mess that went on way too long.

Come Play - 7/10

An enjoyable scarer with some neat ideas (the monster only being visible if seen through a tablet/phone screen etc), and the actor who played the autistic kid targeted by said beastie put in a great performance.

Not sure if this one even has a UK release date yet either, as i got it on US import (the blu ray is region free).

The Black Cauldron - 6/10; since getting Disney+ I’ve been working my way through the Disney animations I haven’t seen. I wonder where Nintendo got inspiration for the Legend of Zelda :shifty:

Without Remorse - 6/10; enjoyable actioner.
