people say Denzil's best film and role is Training Day this film is just as good as he nailed his role in this. Gene Hackman at his best

What you should think is it is is absolutely brilliant examination of social class through filmmaking.

Bong Joon-ho is a genius, although Parasite is better.

Don't get me wrong, it does have some amazing moments. The freeway scene, in particular, is a sublime action set piece. It just does an awful job of making me care about its story.

It's just crazy to me that the pivotal point of the plot and the big reveal was written in such a way as to be almost indecipherable. All these ergos, vis a vis and blah blahs. And spoken so quickly as to not give the viewer any time to digest or think about the implications.

Reloaded completely failed to make me care about its world and characters (something the original succeeded in seemingly effortlessly) and The Architect was the crap cherry on top of a narratively mouldy cake.

The ingredients for an incredible sequel are all there. It's just unfortunate that a ballooned budget clearly made the Wachowski's lose sight of why the first film worked so perfectly.

The Suicide Squad

9/10

Now that was bloody good. A lot of fun and a lot of heart. Kept me guessing constantly. Never knew what was going to happen next which is pretty rare for these kind of films.

Don't Breathe 2

Utter tripe. I know a lot of sequels don't exactly build on the premise particularly well, but precious few require you to actively ignore the events of the previous film in order for it to make sense. Just a grimy load of grim nonsense.

The Matrix Revolutions 4/10

How did we go from a 10/10 to this late night SyFy bullshit? It's really awful and, despite all the money thrown at it, feels incredibly cheap.

On a good day I can quite happily enjoy the second film.

I find it amazing how they were able to mess up the third one so badly.

I feel like I just watched mechs shooting fish for two hours. Apart from two minutes of actual Matrix action I already can't remember anything else happening.
