Yeah, such a great film  The ending always freaked me out quite a bit when I was younger. His whole 80's output was just so good.

"In the Mouth of Madness" is worth a watch if you haven't seen it, just to conclude his Apocalypse Trilogy.

Arguably the best horror trilogy ever. The sense of dread in all 3 films is intense and the use of music takes them to another level.

Wish my image sig would work

In The Mouth Of Madness is another good film and underrated the use of the music in POD is so good how it builds up the tension near the end.

In the Mouth of Madness is an excellent horror. Sam Neill is such a superb actor.

Anyway, watched Walk the Line for the second time last night. I'm generally not a fan of Johnny Cash, but I do love a good biopic and this is up there with some of the best.

Quiet place - 6/10. Just reinforced that I struggle to get into horror films.

Call me by your name - 8/10. Watched this in a Polish park and it was a great setting for it, very beautifully shot film. Tripped over a cable and broke the large screen for a while.

I watched that not long back. It, like a lot of modern horrors, just isn't very good. Lots of nice ideas, but most fail to deliver.

I only really like Hurt by Johnny Cash out what I've heard and it was a cover anyway.

The Curse of La LLorona

7/10

One of the better films i've seen so far this year (though i've not seen many), t'was a decent enough chiller anyhow.

Infinity War - 10

Endgame - 8

I standby what I thought coming out of the cinema, except that Endgame has gone down in my estimation a little due to the loss of the impact upon first seeing it on the big screen. For me Infinity War is so much more of a rollercoaster with higher highs, bigger strawberry float yeah moments and better comedic relief. I feel it also gels a lot better as a film overall as the exposition flows with the movie a lot better and there’s a lot less waiting around for stuff to get going. The biggest flaw with Endgame for me remains the Time Heist. I have no problem with it as a maguffin to undo the snap but it just feels like the film is turned down to a gentle simmer for an hour and a half while you wait for the final act. And speaking of the final act I don’t think it has the tension or drama of Infinity Wars clashes, nor does it have as cool moments as Dr Strange going full batshit mad Wizard, Thor arriving on the Battlefield or Tony’s desperate last stand with Thanos that IW has. In fact it all comes together a little haphazardly and then winning in the end feels more fluke than momentously satisfying team effort. I have lots of other nitpicks but don’t want to diminish from the fact it’s a absolutely banging film that really does a stellar job of tying up 10 years of story telling while building to a mega climax.

Child's Play.

It would probably be a lot better if it doesn't carry the name, Child's Play. Probably.

One of the funniest films I've ever seen. Don't know if it's intentional though. But I still prefer the old Chucky.

6/10

Just finished watching it too, the end credits Buddi song by Mark Hamill should have bumped that score up to 10

Tried watching Hellboy last night (The new one) and managed just over an hour of it before giving it the old "yeah, strawberry float that shite" it was absolutely terrible and the acting, dear lord, it was strawberry floating gash :dread:

I thought David Habour did good as Hellboy. And I thought the hag thing was bloody good. But the story was gash, definitely. And very bad CGI effects, especially the giant trolls, the werewolf/tiger transform, the villain's sidekick pig. Awful.
