Has Willis done anything in the last 10+ years that he doesn't look bored in?

Three Billboards outside of Ebbing Missouri.

A simple tale about the small town mentality in the south. Frances McDormand as the 'momma bear' figure is stunning, in fact everyone's acting is peerless. It moves along at quite the pace too.
9/10

If you're not planning on seeing it, everyone needs to watch this:

Directed, written and produced by the creator of Peaky Blinders.

And then read this:

I can't imagine that seeing the film could be any more entertaining than just reading the twist written down. It's strawberry floating batshit.

Excellent wasn't it.

Must watch this again to see if it's as good as I remember.

Miguel007 wrote:The Mule - 7/10 - 90 year old Horticulturist falls on hard times both financially and emotionally and starts driving for the Mexican Drug Cartel, very enjoyable. Clint looks really, really old in this it feels like a slight continuation of his character in Gran Torino. I'd be hard pressed to see him do anymore but the man is a machine!

Excellent supporting cast with Michael Pena, Lawrence Fishburne, Bradley Cooper. Andy Garcia pops up in a typecast role; but he's too fat and old to offer any menace and Clint's wife in this is god awful. One scene in particular her passing away is up there with Marion Cotillard's death in Dark Knight Rises :fp:

I love how the bit after the spoiler completely negates the point of the spoiler.

Also he looks old because he'll be 89 this year, tbf. :slol:

Mary Poppins Returns -

I hated it. Not a memorable song and without a drop of magic. Paddington 2 showed how to make England charming and enchanting. This was just very flat.

Wish my image sig would work

Polar. As much as enjoy John Wick, I thought this was more to my taste, dark and stylish. Set itself up nicely for a sequel.

Sightseers - 10/10

One of my favourite films of all time. The perfect British film, funny, dark and a bit sad. Got Kill List and A Field in England to watch next from the same director.

I dunno if it’s 10/10 but Sightseers is a great movie.

I’ve watched some trash in my time but strawberry float me was this garbage. I thought Mads and Vanessa had a great thing going. What a fantasic idea of a retiring hitman and how he would cope in a normal day to day life. Then you have the opposite with the worst bunch of actors assembled playing the assassins with some the most puerile, misogynistic garbage script writing that is a sight to behold. Did I mention that Matt Lucas is the main villain? Who, WHO thought this would be a good idea.

Trailer looked ok but I knew within the first 10 minutes of seeing an errection joke that is aiming so, so, low. Mads must have been paid a ton or lied to as I have no idea why he would sign up for this.

I will say this though, the title couldn’t have been apt for the complete juxtaposition of what was being played out on screen.

Didn't mind the first half but got bored by the end. 5/10.
