I saw it once at the cinema, and tonight we watched the UHD 4K release. strawberry floating stunning picture, amazing atmos soundtrack AND it's a great film anyway.

Yeah easy the best Spider-Man film.

At push it’s the best superhero film. Even more than all MCU.

Ive just started watching it now. Is there a 3D effect? - that is objects that are maybe intended to be out of the focus field appear to be in the old style red/green "shadow". I just got the standard film, but it looks like i should be wearing 3d glasses to watch this? Or is it just the intended art style?

Intended style. Its replicating misaligned printing plates from old comics.

It sort of was, Orange... but just not as good in nearly all areas. Dang, even the opening credits - which were pretty funny in the original - seemed like some quick, budget version in the sequel. For me, D1 was genuinely funny and a real blast, whilst D2 felt like a far weaker imitation.

D1 didn’t have Peter though.

Did you know the two Rednecks talking about how toilet paper doesn't make any sense when Cable first appears in the present are Alan Tudyk and Matt Damon.

What's with the weird ghosting/blurring effect, though? Kept making me think that my TV was playing up

I'd somehow missed it in the cinema so it was the first time I saw it last night. Genuine laugh out loud

For those thst haven't seen it, try and see a 4K HDR one if you can, it looks amazing.

It's absolutely fantastic in 4K. Watched it this afternoon (for 2nd time as saw it in the cinema) as prep for Endgame tomorrow. Will almost certainly still love Spider-Verse more though, it's such an excellent film. After seeing it first time I wasn't too fussed about a sequel but now I'm totally hyped for one after the post credits sequence.

I thought there was a weird colour and a bit of stutter in movements but I put it down to the art style.

Avengers Age of Ultron 4/10

Apart from the Hulk Vs Iron Man fight, that was utter dogshit.

Yeah, that was the last Avengers film I saw and thought it was pants. I've had little desire to watch the others. I don't think I'm the target audience though, as I find the Marvel films pretty dull on the whole.

I don't think even Marvel fans like Age of Ultron

Ultron is comfortably one of the worst Marvel films. I'd rate the first Thor above it.

Well of course you would. The first Thor film is baller.

I wasn't keen on Age of Ultron either, it's among my least favourite MCU films.

So here is the question for you all what went wrong with Age of Ultron?
I mean it is not even close in quality to the other 3 Avenger films. Yet it seems to have all the same ingredients.

The bad guy is terrible.
The pacing is all over the place.
It squanders some ideas that could've been good.
The twins.
The inclusion of Bow and Arrow man and Scarjo, who are quite gooseberry fool.

I haven't seen Infinity War or Endgame though. And I don't remember much about the first one, so I don't know enough to say they all have similar elements. I remember liking the first one more anyway.

Uncompelling and unestablished villain in Ultron, especially compared to Loki and Thanos. The same criticism can be levelled at Sokovia, which the audience doesn't get to know or care about as a place. Compare that to New York as an established real world location, or Wakanda or Asgard which, while invented, are introduced properly to the audience so that when threatened with destruction the audience cares.

I think it's generally more confused too. The first Avengers is carried by everyone coming together and seeing the until then separate heroes interact and work together. Infinity War/Endgame are the culmination of 10 years of cinema and a finale to a story arc that has played out over almost the same amount of time. Age of Ultron is... a nothing film, really. The Avengers films are supposed to be bigger events than the individual films around them, but Age of Ultron just feels like any other - and a forgettable one at that.

Civil War is a much better "Avengers" film because it does something really interesting in taking the established heroes and pitting them against each other.

I watched age of Ultron a little while ago on Netflix and it is a very weird film. Vision is brilliant but Ultron is wasted. It just feels off.

It feels like a director's cut or a great film that ruins it.
Also the visions everyone sees are so boring.

It's a shame that Ultron didn't play a part in end game as his powers and design are very good.

Ultron isn’t top tier but is easily better than Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Thor 2.

God Thor 2 was gooseberry fool.
