It looks lovely, shot really well. Absolutely gooseberry fool in every other respect. Honestly can't see how it gained the acclaim it has.

I couldn't disagree any more strongly.

I can respect that.

Personally I found both of them vapid, and the dynamic between them felt dull and forced. Most of Bill Murray's 'comedy' came from laughing at the funny foreigners, and Scarlet Johansson has the emotional range of a wet tissue.

Oh, woe is me, my boyfriend is too busy and has left me with nothing to do in Tokyo.

She’s been the cause of a fair few wet tissues in my household, I’ll have you know.

They’re all crusty and yellow now though.

Top 10 for me, and literally changed my life as I decided to move to Japan soon after.

I loved it at the time but have to admit that I found it a bit difficult to watch recently because of the racist stuff.

I mean, there is that. Even when I had it on DVD I used to skip the stockings scene.

That's the thing, though! I'd love to go to Japan. I'd kill for it. And these two mopey gooseberry fools are sat in a hotel having the most vanilla crises because hurrr me no likey change.

And what the strawberry float is either one doing with the other? Scarlett is literally established as already having half a dozen friends in Tokyo, so why on Earth does she cling to Bill?

Bill's marriage is a bit dull? No gooseberry fool, Bill, you're 25 years in. To say nothing of strawberry floating off to Japan and missing your kid's birthday.

And Scarlett's husband has 'changed' in the two years they've been married? Because he knows what he wants from his career and she doesn't? That was enough of an existential crisis to force her into Bill Murray's wrinkly old arms?

Must be nice having some kind of specialist skill so that you can migrate on a bit of a whim, right?

Now I'm curious.

Now TV have given me a free 3 month film pass and I decided to watch Dunkirk and wow! seeing those small boats crossing the channel proudly flying the red ensign and rescuing our soldiers made me cry with pride,

10/10

You genuinely missed out watching it at iMax, my god the sound was so intense. Loved it, but genuinely a film I do not think I want to watch again

Oh I watched Tomb Raider, you know it was not awful, and was probably better than the previous 2. So I will say an okay 6/10 Lara did seem to be running away from a lot of things the whole film

I quite liked the Angelina Jolie films, i thought the second was particularly good fun, especially the Hong Kong wingsuit jump.

If "can speak English" and "has a degree" are skills...

Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol - 8/10

Spotted this had just startedon Film4 last night whilst flicking around the channels so stayed for a watch. It's still probably my favourite of the MI films and it's a shame that Jeremy Renner's Brandt isn't going to be in the new one as he adds a lot to this.

Rampage - 8/10

Utter popcorn nonsense, but it works. Not the most obvious game property to make into a movie, but as a movie about giant monsters tearing a city apart it works quite well. Doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest.

If you want some silly fun then it's well worth a watch.

Missions Impossible Fallout - 9/10

Brilliant film and easily the best in the series. Exciting plot that keeps moving forward. Henry Cavil is magnificent and much like Chris Evans in Sunshine shows he is capable of more than comic book movies.

Very well made and at times almost has a Nolan vibe to it.

Some excellent music and the action being none cgi means that edge of the seat moments are frequent and so well done.

Highly recommend.

Would love to director to direct something for Marvel or DC as his action scenes, particularly the bathroom fight are perfectly filmed.

Wish my image sig would work

Peter Rabbit

8/10

Really good fun, with likeable characters (the animals were also beautifully animated) and an enjoyable story.
