Now the Thanos arc is all over and done with I actually have very little interest in the upcoming Marvel films, dare say they’ll be enjoyable to watch but I doubt I’ll be rushing to watch any of them.

I noticed last night that Pokémon The Power of Us has appeared on Netflix so thought I’d pop it on as a bit of background TV, actually thought it was rather good. Kind of looking forward the the remake of the first film that’s also hitting Netflix at some point.

I must admit, now that Endgame has come and gone, i'm not really that fussed about the next batch of MCU films either.

Even more so after watching Spiderman: Far From Home which was pretty poor.

I quite liked Far From Home, thought it dealt quite nicely with how people perceived the ‘blip’ for half of the people. Thinking about it I’ll probably keep my eyes on Guardians 3 and Thor 4.

It’s felt like quite a long break since the last MCU movie (I know it hasn’t actually been very long) so I am ready for some more. They might not be high art, but they entertain me and that’s all I need from comic book movies.

Same. They're great cinema experiences and I enjoy the way they link together. They haven't outstayed their welcome yet-for me at least, anyway.

I've still got phase 3 films to watch - Captain Marvel, Ant Man 2, Dr. Strange, Spiderman FFH (is that phase 3?), so there's a bit of life left in the universe for me.

Beyond the Thanos storyline though... meh, I could take it or leave it.

S:FFH is the last point of phase 3

I've still got the following to watch: Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home.

They'll probably be wrapping up Phase 4 before I'm done with Thanos.

Marvel films are completely uninteresting to me. I seen Captain America and Black Panther when they came out. I just don't get it.

Watched Into the Spiderverse yesterday. Not really a Spiderman fan but I did enjoy this one. The end of it was really good.

Also watched the newest The Thing, which I didn't actually hate surprisingly. It is derivative in some aspects, but it does a few things differently enough to warrant it being made.

Joker

I really enjoyed that. Phoenix slowly evolving into the character was brilliant.

For Sama - 8/10

One of the most powerful documentaries I've seen in a long time. The scene where two brothers bring their third into the hospital after he's been killed in a Russian air strike broke me. Completely and utterly.

Not seen this for ages, just wonderful in every possible way.

I've just got Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home left to watch.

I bought Infinity War in the Black Friday sales, then realised I'd already bought it several months earlier and hadn't watched it :fp:

The Princess Bride

Watched it with my children yesterday. Their first time and I've not watched it in years. Good family film that we all enjoyed while having our tea.

8/10

Black Mass

Depp's best film in years.

9/10

The Lion King (2019) 6/10
Beautiful looking film and Timon and Phumbaa was great, but you can't beat the original as this one lacked the heart and love the orginal had in it.

The Dark Tower 6/10
Never read the book series, but I did enjoy the film but it felt like 2 or 3 films crammed into 90 mins.
