I'll give it another go later on. Maybe I was in a bad mood but those characters I mentioned really rubbed me the wrong way and the Charizard bloke pushed me over the edge.

Child's Play - 2019 - 6/10

Apart from Chucky's amazing voice work. It's just an average and very short film at 1 hour 30 including the credits.

Nothing memorable about it.

Not close to the horror of the original trilogy or the madness of what came later. It's currently on Netflix UK

Dawn of the Dead (1978) - 10/10

My favourite film of all time. Full thing in 4k is on YouTube and free for all to view.

Angry Bird Movie 4/10 Maybe had a couple of ok gags to paper other the incredibly thin plot. Mercilessly wasn't particularly long and was light watching.

Someone on here said the 2nd film had one of the funniest bits they'd seen, which is why we watched it, to prepare for the 2nd one.

The Invisible Man - 8/10 - enjoyed this movie quite a lot, well worth a watch

Suspiria 7/10 Much better than the Thom Yorke crooning remake. An innovate use of colours and music to make a menacing atmosphere on what looked like a pitiful budget. The rubber bat and crummy dubbing are part of the charm.

Red Dragon 7/10 - Just about scrapes a 7, each of the trilogy is worse than the last. Lector at his most boring/underwhelming, and the killer isn't greatly used either. Would have been more interest in the bit before Lector was caught prior to the opening credits.

The 2004 remake is surprisingly decent too, and also worth a look.

I enjoyed the remake and the uncut version of it is amazingly gory with a spectacular chainsaw kill. The director is returning to zombie films this year with Army of the Dead (made for Netflix) hopefully it'll be as stylish and gory.

Was watching Shaun The Sheep movie with the kids. This bit has me cracking up:

Toy Story 3 - 9.5/10
Toy Story 4 - 8/10
Toy Story - 9/10
Toy Story 2 - 9/10

We’ve had a Toy Story day. :lol:

John Wick 3 - 7/10

The action scenes were really good. Kinda zoned out on the plot to be honest.

Death of Stalin - 8/10

This was really funny in places. Some very noticeable faces in minor parts.

The Shaun the Sheep movie is a great one. I always love how it's crafted exactly to the style of the show without the need to force unnecessary plot points into it, or even more talking.

The Wind Rises

I enjoyed it more than Whisper of the Heart. It was a sad ending.

I thought it was great too. That scene in the restaurant especially.

Child's Play Remake - 6/10

This was all over the place in terms of tone. Really cool idea overall (as in a doll with cloud access), but the execution of it was lacking.

Black Death - 6/10

Interesting in places, but it never really got good. I enjoy Sean Bean in anything, Eddie Redmayne is alright in it.

Also you know that Sean Bean will die.

Was really bowled over by this. Never seen it before. The performances are stellar.
