They weren't fans, although still think they went light on it.

I was only half watching it at points but the big plothole for me was why the owner of the vault wouldn't know the combination.

It might genuinely have been explained in detail but I make no apologies for not paying attention.

It wasn't explained.

I want to know how they thought they would be able to carry all that cash in the helicopter.

It's actually incredible how many plot holes Army of the Dead has, when you consider how simple the plot is

Did they explain why they didn't just fly a helicopter to the casino in the first place?

Would have been blocked by the eagles obviously.

I think they said it was a no fly zone?

But they could fly out?

I guess the idea is the army would shoot them down if they approached but if they fly out near the nuke detonation time there won't be anyone left in the area?

This doesn't work though because the nuke was brought forward by 24 hours!

It is just a sneaky LoTR remake isn't it?

They can't fly the eagles helicopters into Mordor Vegas because the Orcs and Nazgul zombies and US army would see them coming. But once the ring was destroyed nuke was about to detonate, nobody would notice the eagles helicopter flying out.

Stop ruining this mediocre movie that I don't really care about!

Watched a few films recently.

Raya & the Last Dragon - A beautiful looking film but I just felt too many bits of it didn't make sense to really enjoy it. Probably more for the kids. 5/10

Palm Springs - A good take on the ground hog day formula with some funny moments and good performances. 7/10

The Mitchell's Vs the Machines - Very good. I liked the art style and the central characters. It had some funny and touching moments. 8/10

Continuing my Shark Week, I've got Open Water on in the background while I mark and holy gooseberry fool I forgot that this movie looks like gooseberry fool. I remember it not looking great at the time of release due to it being an early adopter of digital filming over actual film (I think the whole thing was basically filmed with a 2003 GoPro equivalent) and time has not been kind to it. It genuinely looks like a badly compressed YouTube video.

Film's good though.

What else is on the list? Deep Blue Sea? The Shallows? Five-Headed Shark?

Deep Blue Sea is, of course, amazing.

I seem to remember The Shallows being not entirely gooseberry fool? That's the one with Ryan Reynolds' squeeze right?

Literally never heard of five headed shark.

Ma mayne 8-) The Shallows, I loved it, but I think it’s meant to be officially alright as well.
Five Headed Shark is a classic*, what the hell?

(*it isn’t)
