God I love that film. Watched it in Thailand this year while having an on off thing with a Swedish lass when I didn't want to leave my room. Easy 10/10 for me.

Body Bags - 7/10

Lovely little creep show style horror anthology. John carpenter stars as crypt keeper like character. He also directs story 1. Mark Hamill is in story 3 and is excellent. Full thing is on YouTube too.

Wish my image sig would work

That the one with the guy from those Revenge of the Nerds movies and the story was set in a garage and gets crushed by a car ramp?

Chocolate-Milk wrote:Bohemian Rhapsody.

Not quite the intimately detailed biopic I was hoping for, but still a fantastically entertaining 'Best Of' medley. I didn't know Rami Malek was playing Freddie until I sat through the opening credits, but having seen his performance I honestly can't conjure up anyone else for the role.

Mike Myers' cameo was great, too. And yes, they did make a Wayne's World joke.

Saw this today, probably a watered down version of Freddie’s rise to fame/lifestyle.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, the recreation of the Live Aid concert was excellent (recreated step by step) and the acting/impersonation of the main characters was good (Mercury and May in particular) but it did have some awkward dialogue in places and some parts of the storytelling was a little contrived and cliched.

7/10.

Best movie soundtrack ever?

I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody as well. I loved it, didn't see the time go in.

The guy playing Freddie was excellent. He's such an awkward goofball at the start of the movie, and then he really grows into it. It seemed very natural for him.

Movie actually has decent child actors in it who aren't annoying as strawberry float.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween: 4/10- Felt like a straight to DVD movie, Jack Black is barely in it. It sets up a potential trilogy, let's see whether it gets made.

North by Northwest: 8/10 Good story perhaps slightly spoiled by the pop culture references made about it over the last 60 years, i.e. the Plane in the Cornfields, the finale at Mt Rushmore.

Felt it would have been better, had the reveal that Cornhill definitely wasn't Kaplan had been made later, as the ambiguity over whether he was or not and the intrigue of what was going on made the 1st half better than the 2nd.

Edit: Plan to watch Alien (for the first time), next weekend. Which version should I watch?

Out of interest is goosebumps 2 worse than the first one assuming you have seen it? My son wants to go to the cinema to see it. I’ve only just watched the first one today and thought it was alright.

Yes. I think I gave the first one 6/10. I think your son will enjoy the 2nd one (assuming he's not older than 12ish), but I imagine you'll be bored in bits of it.

Doesn't really matter, either version of Alien is a treat. Aliens however should always be the Special Edition.

Do I need to watch the first one, to understand Aliens? Will I lose anything from the first i.e. plot spoilers if I watch the 2nd one first or are they stand alone?
