Blade Runner 2049 is one of the easiest 5* films I've ever watched and is probably in my top 10 films of all time. It's better than the original too.

Loved it.

Drive is the best film of the last decade and Ryan Gosling is sheer tidy.

Doomsday - utter guff, but such watchable guff. And "Scotland" is blatantly South Africa, but strawberry float it, why not?

It was an exchange programme, they filmed District 9 in the slums of Paisley and Barrhead.

Avengers Endgame

I'm nearly 44 years old and that has got to be the most incredible movie I've ever seen. Not objectively the best, but to fulfill the scope and ambition to the degree that it does is just, well, incredible. I honestly believe that this movie transcends normal cinema and is genuinely beyond criticism. I am blown away. What a strawberry floating achievement.

Ready or Not - 6/10; went to an Odeon Scream Unseen and was pleasantly surprised. Young woman married into eccentric millionaire family and on their wedding day they play a random game to initiate new family members, turns out she got Hide & Seek but their version they hunt her with guns, knives etc.

Felt like Addams Family meets Battle Royale, with a good few laughs and no big stars other than the mother Andie McDowell.

The Ritual - Brit horror that started out promising but fell apart in the final third. NEVER SHOW THE MONSTER!

The Cured - Infected zombie types who remember the awful things they did while infected? Sounds promising. Nope. Great idea that was utterly wasted.

Bohemian Rhapsody - I liked that it focused more on the celebration of Freddie's talent and Queen as a band as opposed to the usual depressing docu-dramas that highlight Freddie's hedonistic lifestyle. That said something was missing throughout, but the Band Aid gig that closed the movie was fantastic as was the performance of every band member.

Lords of Chaos - I read the book a long time ago and while the movie plays, unashamedly, with the truth it's a thoroughly entertaining and often insightful look into the birth of the Black Metal scene. It's not for the squeamish either.

Fantastic stuff. Interesting, funny and inspiring.

Logan - 8/10

Some of the best wolverine action scenes in years, but also a pretty downbeat story.

National Treasure 2 - 6/10

Not enough moments in which Nic Cage loses his gooseberry fool.

Toy Story 4 - 8/10

Fun but not the best in the series, and probably not necessary after 3 in all honesty.

Looks amazing at times though, the animation has just evolved to such an incredible level by this point.

John Wick 2: Wick Harder - 7/10

Some nice action in this but I didn’t think it was anywhere near as good as the first movie.

As Above, So Below - 6/10

Watchable found footage style horror, nothing amazing yet still enjoyed it.

Angel has fallen - 7/10

Much better than expected. Terrible cgi and green screen. The full film is in the trailer and cgi blood from gunshots is crap. But apart from that. It's actually ok.

Doesn't go dark enough or gritty enough to b a classic and it takes plots from multiple other films and sticks them all together. Final boss fight was also very much a gooseberry fool TV version of a metal gear game.

But it moves along at a good pace and at least one good surprise death.
