Bohemian Rhapsody 9/10
Incredibly enjoyable film about the last Queen frontman, Rami Malik was outstanding as Mercury. It was just a right mix of his private and Queen life, and the music was unsurprisingly superb.

Taken 7.5/10
Liam Neeson kills a lot of people, rather enjoyable

Marriage Story:

It’s undoubtedly good but it’s such sickeningly on point Oscar bait that I want to hate it and how thoroughly joyless it is (though to be fair it’s not always).

Finally got around to watching Infinity War!

Yes, I'm rather late to the party on this one. I'm not a massive Marvel fan, and l prefer the more lightweight stuff (Thor, Guardians etc). Having had the ending of this one semi-spoiled I was expecting this to be a bit more po-faced like Civil War, which I thought was rubbish. However this was actually pretty good.

It moves at bloody lightning pace, two and a half hours went by super quickly. There's a surprising amount of comedy in there despite the dark tone, and none of the battle sequences seemed too drawn out, which is my usual complaint with these things. Finally, the Spider-Man death sequence really affected me, which is the first time I've ever emotionally engaged with a comic book movie.

It's not high art like some people seem to claim, but it was definitely one of the better Marvel films. I assume Endgame is just going to be a big fight, so that will probably be gooseberry fool.

8/10.

Avengers: Endgame

Absolute dreadful shite.

Time travel? They're seriously going to undo the bravest thing they ever did with strawberry floating time travel?

I thought it was really well done. Loved all of the 5 Years Later section as well.

Why not? It's literally the end. It doesn't make any difference.

It's the end for like...5 of the core avengers who's contracts are up. Pretty much everyone else has more films coming

Errr....it's not the end no

Black Panther 2
Thor 4
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Dr Strange 2
Spider-Man 3

Are all in the works. And it sounds like Ant-Man 3 is happening too.

It's just the end of the Thanos story arc that went through the first 3 phases of films.

Captain Marvel - I enjoyed it; it kept my interest. I'd kinda thought that Captain Marvel was super-powerful and I didn't quite get that impression from the film. Even so, it was fun to see. 6/10.

I knew those films were coming, I had just assumed they would be set before Endgame. Seems a bit odd to do things after the old Big Bad has been beaten?
