This was weird, there's definitely something here but feels like it needs a bit more structure rather than madly dashing from scene to scene. I think I might have missed a scene at the start explaining what was going on. Definitely worth a watch though.

Amongst all the formulaic Generic Adam Sandler Movies roles, he’s actually put in some pretty stellar acting performances such as Reign Over Me, Punch Drunk Love and Funny People .

Thanks, i have started researching some of his more accomplished roles, and will see if any of the above films are on streaming services.

Fortress

90's dystopian sci-fi with Christopher Lambert. First time I'd seen it in 20 years or more. Still holds up, but loses its punch in the final part of the film when it switches to balls out action. Overall though it's quite an enjoyable film.

Adam Sandler tends to put in a good performance in a decent film once a decade or thereabouts. The rest of his filmography is absolute pigswill.

Never been a fan of Sandler's movies, but I did recently watch about half of Pixels before switching it off. Bloody awful.

Should have watched it with The Pugsley Crew Views commentary. Wouldve made it marginally more bearable.

Did you ever watch No Escape? Those two films came out around the same time and were my favourite films in my teens haha. I basically burnt out my VHS of them both. :lol:

Just awful, painful to watch at times.

Edit: It's become quite amusing in how gooseberry fool it is, there's legit a moment where Thor ducks out the way of a tank shell :lol:

1917 Wow just wow looking past the its "one continuous shot" aspect a beautifully shot movie with a fantastic soundtrack which both combined for the sequence where Schofield is walking through the ruins of the city in the pitch dark only illuminated by flares its a beautifuldream like quality that makes you almost forget the dangers of the War

Decent setup but became a pretty routine 'end of world, robots bad' affair. Still enjoyable enough but Moon does a similar thing better.

I've been trying to find (not very hard) the name of that film for years. I watched a bit of it on ITV4 or something years ago and wanted to watch it all from the start.

Birds of Prey - 5/10

It was fine.

Wasn't great, wasn't terrible - just fine.

Parasite (2020) - *****

It's really good. You should go see it if you have even the slightest interest.

Speaking of Adam Sandler, I watched Happy Gilmore for the first time the other day.
2/5 - maybe it might have been funny if I was 12 years old.

I was definitely in my early teens when I first watched Happy Gilmore and can confirm it was pretty funny to me at that time. Haven't watched it since so I'll probably keep it that way!
