I wish they'd add some more JCVD to Netflix. I'm really in the mood for some more ridiculousness now. I remember Double Impact being particularly entertaining.

Universal Soldier is his best though. Genuinely excellent action film.

Double Team is also worth a watch, has a batshit plot and it has Dennis Rodman in it for some reason.

Regarding Wes Anderson, i actually really enjoy his movies.

The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums and Fantastic Mr Fox is his best work.

On a separate note...

Mulan - 6/10

An unusual one in that it's a 2020 film to have actually been released on blu ray, lovely visuals, the story was decent, but as with all the disney live action remakes, there's a certain amount of deja vu which meant it'll likely be very forgettable.

Watched Fantastic Mr Fox on Prime yesterday and I liked it. 7/10

The Grand Budapest Hotel> Isle of Dogs> Fantastic Mr Fox>Moonrise Kingdom> The Darjeeling Limited

I've got Royal Tenenbaums recorded on my Tivo then after that I'll try to track down Bottle Rocket, Rushmore and Steve Ziszou.

Ready Player One (better than the book)/10 Decide on your own rating depending on how much you liked the book. I found the book utterly dreadful and therefore found the film marginally less dreadful.

I have seen Rushmore, but haven't gotten around to Bottle Rocket yet.

You just reminded me I forgot to put Royal in my list. It would be above Life Aquatic.

So it feels like Arrested Development ripped off The Royal Tenenbaums massively. A great film though- 9/10

Friday the 13th (2009) - 7/10

I enjoyed this. Some good kills. Main cast are strawberry floating morons (I guess that's a given).

The Peanut Butter Falcon - 9

Loved it. Really charming funny adventure without being sappy.

Spider-Man Homecoming

First 4K HDR movie I've watched and it looked pretty lovely.

Still one of the absolute best MCU movies and Michael Keaton is completely captivating.

Onward

This popped up on Disney+ while scrolling around after watching an episode of the Mandalorian, and it was pretty fun.

On the list of 23 main Marvel Cinematic Universe villains, I’d rank Keaton right near the top. I thought his Vulture was utterly outstanding.
