Last film you watched and your rating

Isn't the book it's based on supposed to be quite harsh and cruel?

Saw 3 - 9/10

Still amazes me how well these films all connect together. Lots of gore and some horrible traps. Sets up the next one well and has a good few twists. I miss the annual Saw release. Was always a Halloween treat to see them at the cinema.

Of the Saw films, 1, 2, and 6 were the best, 3 was probably my least favourite as some of it was just gore for gore's sake.

The latest one was a bit off but still watchable. Hopefully the new film (out next year) gets back to the old spirit of the series.

Jojo Rabbit - 9/10, I think.

I genuinely loved this. It has a similar kind of feel to Life is Beautiful, though it isn’t quite as impactful or well made. The last scene with Sam Rockwell, I could see what he was about to do, and what was about to happen, but it still made my eyes water a little bit.

The lone ranger- 3/10

Was bored out of my mind watching this, and somehow 2 and a bit hours felt like 5. I don't remember if Tonto was such a big character in the series, but he felt like the main character in this with the lone ranger hardly even in it. I'm guessing a load of the money went on Depp so they wanted to use him in every single second of the film.

Terminator: Dark Fate - oooh, I enjoyed this more than I think I was supposed to. Can’t put a rating on it.

Narratively it is brave enough to depart completely from the films that came before it. The action was good, Linda Hamilton was great, and I think if it is taken as the third part of a trilogy following on from Judgement Day, it closes off the story very well.

It might have been less of an issue though had the movie actually been good.

Frozen 2 8/10 Wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. Lost in the Woods had me in stitches.

Tried to watch Don’t Listen again and I realise why Netflix keeps telling me I’m 30 mins in.

Strong opening. strawberry floating dull movie.

Predator in 4K.

This is strawberry floating great, it looks absolutely incredible. I've turned into a sexual tyranosaurus just from watching.

No, it would still have been reprehensible.

Falling Down 9/10 - I've watched this film so many times over the years and love it just as much as I did in 1993

Home alone 2 - 4/10 a poor retread of the first film in every way.

Yep, it's a superb bit of film-making.

Hard to believe Joel Schumacher went from this to directing Batman & Robin a few years later.
