Rogue One is one of the most boring films I've ever seen.

Revenge of the Sith is definitely the best of the prequel trilogy, the prequels aren’t a patch on the original trilogy though but they do have a few standout moments. Out of the Disney films only Rogue One and The Last Jedi come close to competing with the original trilogy for me, Force Awakens was decent but yeah The Rise of Skywalker was something else :dread:

I really enjoyed ROTS in the cinema at the time, until the NOOO bit where the entire cinema burst out laughing.

Possibly going against the grain, I really liked Return of the Jedi.

Even watching it at the cinema on release I knew ROTS was a bad movie, but after TPM and AOTC I went in with the right expectations so it was switch off the brain and enjoy watching the fireworks

There were moment in Revenge of the Sith where I genuinely got the feeling George Lucas was starting to re-find a bit of magic again. But they were only fleeting moments.

The first two were abject.

It's my favourite star wars film, but I can't pretend it's the best (the throne room bit is top tier though).

Last crusade is my favourite Indiana Jones film, but raiders is the best.

The guy who did the 4 hour Hobbit supercut also did a slimline version of Rogue One, that's basically just the Battle of Scarif (which tbf is basically the only part of the film that matters/is good). It's definitely the most Star Wars-y setpiece of any of the Disney-led films. Could be worth a look if you've got like 45 minutes spare :shifty:

rogue one strawberry floating blows and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong

In terms of Star Wars movies: Empire is great; New Hope, Return, Awakens are pretty good; Last Jedi is good; and the rest are trash

I liked the prequels, as at least Lucas tried to do something different.

I know they're flawed, the writing in particular can be atrocious and Lucas' directing leaves much to be desired, but at least they do not have the empty hollow feeling of simply retreading old ground which is what generally occurs in the newest films (while i enjoyed the new ones too, in hindsight i prefer the prequels to them).

I rewatched the whole lot last month, and it was the first time I’d seen this version of Return of the Jedi. I nearly vomited when they retro-dubbed NOOO onto Vader’s climactic scene.

I haven't actually seen the third sequel, but Last Jedi generally did different gooseberry fool even if it didn't all work. Even then force awakens is straight up just a better movie than the prequels.
