This also perfectly describes the first two. Was really hoping they might figure out what they actually wanted to do with the series at some point, but that doesn't sound promising :dread:

There's a story that can be told but f*cked it by

Having to shoehorn in Beasts because of the original, and being stuck with characters they don't need.
Coming up with where they're going/over arching story on the hoof (or it's at least written like that).

The second one was actually ok, this latest one though is a mess.

Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness - 5/10

Middle of the road Marvel which loses points because it expected me to have watched Wandavision even though I don't have Disney+.

if only the two main cops in police squad had a freeze frame kind of friendship. instead it was underhanded tricks to steal the other ones girl, and car sabotage and public fights. though they did wink at each other in the end, half way to freeze frame.

The Naked Gun movies were a spin off of that show.

The Grey man - 7/10

Run of the mill action flick or better yet Far Cry the movie. Chris Evans was pretty good as the Pscho.

The Gray Man - 3/10

This isnt very good at all. Its so badly written, the cheesy dialogue i can just about cope with but the characters aren't at all compelling and neither was the story. No idea where they spent $200m, the choreography is dodgy, the cgi is gooseberry fool and apart from the intro which was pretty well done in fairness, its really bland visually. I can only think it was because they visited so many different locations. Chris Evans was kind of fun as the villain but Ryan Gosling has no charisma at all which i get is kind of the point but it doesnt make for an entertaining film. And Ana De Armas was wasted. Russo brothers are pretty dull outside Marvel really.

It’s bizarre, man. I watched Winter Soldier again last night and I was like ‘dayum, if these guys were doing something that wasn’t about superheroes it’d be like Heat-levels of awesome’. Instead they’ve just churned out shite.

Genuinely don't understand how Winter Soldier and The Gray Man can be from the same directors.

I read somewhere that it's a movie made by algorithm. Netflix just plug into a computer program what people like and the Gray Man is what pops out. And so it's a dreary and soulless heap of shite.*

*allegedly, I've not seen it.
