Prey - 9/10 Utterly fantastic action movie with not an ounce of padding on it. Best Predator film since the original. I know that is not saying much, but believe me, this is a strawberry floating belter! A must watch!

The Angry Joe Show guys all gave it very positive reviews, sounds quite promising :o

Prey 8.5 / awesome.

I am with Ord on how it out done all of the other movies excepts the original. It was really well done. Setting just added so much visually. Amber Midthunder was really good as Neru.

The design of the Predator was really good with the bone mask.

Prey - yep. Can't give it a score. Go in blind if you can(I hadn't heard of this at all and got a lovely surprise five minutes in). It's possibly the best of all of them, if we're being objective. Easily surpasses everything but possibly the OG.

DR Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Liked that, can’t see it been a lot of marvel fan kids cup of tea due to it been too scary for them :(

Would love to watch Prey but some bright spark at the studio decided to make it streaming only instead of letting me watch it on the big screen like it’s meant to be watched. If they have any sense ( ) they will let me rent it on Prime as I can’t be forking out for another subscription service.

Bought Multiverse on blu-ray, thought Disney was a bit more expensive than £7.99.No harm in subscribing, watching the film, then cancel for the time being.

Prey - 8.5/10
Whilst nothing can come close the lightning-in-a-bottle original, this one easily comes in second place in the series. Really really enjoyable. Should have been released in theatres.

Prey - 8/10

Have to (mostly) concur with the praise for Prey (Preyse?).
It's not as good as the first one, but then the first one is one of the greatest action/sci-fi movies of all time so that's not too surprising.
For me the Predator franchise has been diminishing returns from the start, though I would say that "The Predator" is the only bad movie in the franchise (Not including AVP movies, but I do have a soft spot for them).
This is the first one that's been better than what came immediately before it.

I'd probably put it as slightly better than Predator 2.

Great wee movie, well worth a watch, but not without some quibbles/flaws for me.

Why did they go with the newer Predator design? Never really been a fan of it compared to the classic design.
The Predator itself never really seemed like it was stalking or hunting them (apart from one or two moments). It just seemed to barge into the middle of a situation and start killing people. It felt a bit more like Michael Myers than anything else.
Did they run out of budget to show the Predators turning up at the camp at the end (One of them needs to take that pistol at some point) and that's why it was just part of the animation? Or is it teasing a sequel?
But all in all minor things for me.
Some great deaths, especially with the French trappers. The shield decapitation was great, so was the bear trap thrown at the guys head.

Definitely would like to see a follow-up.

Yeah the old pistol from the end of Predator 2 making an appearance does mess about with the canon a bit, but maybe that might get explained in a potential sequel? Probably more likely just a bit of fan service, which I'm ok with.

They could have a Predator ship come and she could join them on a hunt. I would love that if they do have a sequal.

Another ‘thumbs up’ for Prey from me, too. Excellent film, really well-paced and focused. Loved it, easily the best Predator film since the first one.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Prey - 8/10
Just finished watching it there; the first is still the king, but this was really great. Felt a little slow getting into the meat of the story (ahem), but a really strong screenplay, cast and visuals. The ending was fantastic!

Prey - 10/10

Why didn't get a theatrical release?

Just fantastic. A very worth sequel with just the right amount of nods to the series. Love the references to other predator films and the action was so well done. Just fantastic from start o finish. The effects were excellent, the dog was adorable and everyone did an amazing job. The culture, the invaders, the use of blood, the build up and the tension. Also the gore, so brutal and fast.

A director who knows how to film action, build tension and use CGI.

So many great moments and set pieces.

The lead will hopefully go onto big things as she's one of the best action heroes for sometime.

Wish my image sig would work

Lightyear - Enjoyable fare with a nice story to it. Good growth to all the mains, all finding their strengths through the mission they find themselves on. And I love the Giacchino scoring.

In fairness it does accurately sum up my feelings on Prey: a good action film that I enjoyed. Not much else to say, although it does seem a bit cheaty that the Predators drop their people onto alien planets to prove themselves but use cloaking technology constantly. I quite liked the obvious comparison between them and the French trappers in that regard.
