Last night I got through a pair of modern classics that I'd never had the chance to watch before:

American History X - 9/10

strawberry floating great film. I knew what was coming, it was shadowed from the start, but it didn't hamper the drama. Edward Norton(one of my favourite actors) was fantastic both as an insane racist and a genuinely repentant man looking to stop his brother from following the same road he did following his release from prison. Edward Furlong was also excellent, although I couldn't help feeling that he looked stoned for most of the film. Sisko from Star Trek was also very good, I thought. Really enjoyable film overall.

Reservoir Dogs - 9/10

So much awesome. Michael Madsen was great, Tim Roth and Harvey Keitel were great, Steve Buscemi was fantastic and the whole thing came together exceptionally well. The last five minutes of the film were just outstanding. I'm really glad I bought this.

EDIT: strawberry float me.

I liked the bit where Tim Roth was identified as Kaiser Soze.

I thought I had worked everything out after the final revelation in the movie, but apparently there's much more to it

I'm sorry, but Keyser Soze is just a guy who strawberry floats a guy with a big dick. And it hurts.

Anyone seen a movie called Penelope starring Christina Ricci and James McAvoy? I've been roped into watching it. It's a romantic comedy of some kind. :fp:

It's supposed to be a children's fantasy film.

Still she looks more attractive with that nose. :shifty: I'm only kidding.

It's a typical ugly-girl-becomes-pretty affair. Not very good - the girl that's roped you into watching it better be hot.

Is that the one where James McAvoy sends a saucy letter to her about her banana split?

Good film that.

Buried - 6/10

It was not too bad and it was a different film, but I felt they could do something better with it.

Le Mans- 7/10

Not a lot happens........but it's an awesome soundtrack. Also, the moment just before the start of the race really is quite fantastic.
