People are unfair to Death Proof. It's not "classic" QT, but it is decent enough. Hot chicks, good action scenes and decent enough characters (for the type of film it is).

Really? I hear people say that a lot and just don't get it. It is not one of QT's best, but it is far from one of the worst films of all time.

I found it to be atrocious. It's one of maybe five films I've ever failed to get all the way through because it was actually just boring... I know it's supposed to be an exploitation flick, but that's no excuse for it to be gooseberry fool.

I agree with Death Proof being boring. And I strawberry floating love Tarantino films. Planet Horror on the other hand is my favorite Robert Rodriguez film.

Death Proof is great.

Grindhouse is such a fun package overall.

I was shocked at how bad Death Proof was. Fell asleep through it the first time, watched it a second and it was even worse than I remembered.

Death Proof was just a tedious film, with about twenty minutes of quality interspersed at random points. Meant to be referencing grindhouse flicks, but is over two hours in length. :|

Agree Moggy. It's no where near the worst film I've ever seen and it had some good things like the car chase and Kurt Russell 8-)

It's more accurate to say it's QT's most flawed film but I still kinda like it despite the criticism it gets. I prefer it as part of 'Grindhouse' with the shorter cut.

Watched The Dark Knight Returns Pt.1 last night and loved it and just finished watching Pt.2 tonight which was even better again. I'd give them both 10/10

Also watched Mass Effect Paragon Lost, was a good side story involving James Vega and the Collectors (Set during the 2 years between Shepards death and his return) 8/10.

Zero Dark Thirty 8/10 Wasn't really into the first half of it but the second half was riveting and the attack sequence just outstanding. Great performances all round, especially from the lead redhead :datass:

What is it with all the Award contenders this year being really strawberry floating looooong movies? This could have had 30 minutes or more of the first 90 chopped off and tidied up. Second half was perfect though.

Dredd.
Finally bought it & wasn't disappointing. Brilliant, brutal, in your face & a real nasty piece of work the villain is.
Shame there wont be a sequel as it bombed hard. Really hard.
That is probably the studios fault for for making it 3D only in the cinemas. I hope they have learned a valuable lesson.

I am the law (3)/5

Going to finally watch "The Raid" tonight

It wasn't 3D only. I saw it on a 2d screen.

Chronicle - 8/10

Surprisingly great, it's pretty much a live-action Akira minus the future setting (and the bizarre hallucinations), even the kid who goes mental looks like Tetsuo.
