Pretty good. Didn't like the final bosses cheap one hit kill though.

What was that? I can't remember a one hit kill.

I did find the ending suprsingly good, let down by the fact the story before all of it was utter crap so I felt little of anything for the characters

I've completed Bionic Commando: Rearmed before, but then i played it on Co-op with a friend. It's much better like that. About 8/10 on your own, and 9/10 in co-op mode.

When you got the dragon right down to no health, it falls to the floor and just stays there. You have to hit it once more to kill it but if you get close it bites you and you die in one hit. You had to be very fast to dodge its bite and get the last sword hit in.

Timeshift was a good game released at a time when some of the best games ever appeared, shame. The Darkness was indeed excellent, the multiplayer was the problem as the lag was terrible and they never fixed it, as a single player game though it was superb.

GTA 4 [8]

Well, not completed 100% but I finished the story missions last night. The first time I've finished the story for any of the GTA games so I must have liked this more than the others!!

Yeah, I keep hearing... But after taking 39 bleedin' hours to get to the end of GTA 4 I think I'll be taking a break from that world to catch up on other games :D The Darkness for example, still sitting there calling me...

Fair enough, if you get stuck in a mission though just cheat, imo its better than never completing it because the gta games traditionally have that odd mission that takes way too many tries.

Half Life 2
Stunning. Only the second game this gen to leave me really satisfied with its ending. To play a game 3 years after its initial release and still be blown away is testament to its brilliance.

Undoubtedly 10/10

Halo - boring as strawberry float.

Halo 2 has started off much better and I'm enjoying this one.

Army of Two

Surprisingly good! This took a lot of flack when it came out so I avoided paying full price for it and waited for it to get cheaper, picked it up pre-owned for £17.99. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, I played it on my own with the AI partner (you get an achievement for doing it all with an AI partner), the campaign took about 8 hours on the hardest difficulty that is available at the start, which seemed to have a good, fun level of challenge, it was a bit easier that Halo's Heroic difficulty as an example.

The game's just full of clever little touches, the 'Agro Meter' allows your AI partner to draw all of the enemies fire, whilst you sneak around the flanks for a sneaky kill (some enemies require this), the guns are satisfying and against the AI at least, the gunplay is satisfying and fun (I've not played online).

All things considered the game was great fun, the story, whilst cliched does it's job and sets the characters up well for the inevitable sequels. It's something of a rough diamond at the moment, it's filled with clever ideas that and fun mechanics and it all seems very high budget - sparing a few dodgy textures - and I'd actually highly recommend it.

[8] - A decent game on it's own, but hopefully when refined for the sequel we should have something really special.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

I've had this ages but I could never be arsed to traipse around trying to find the last fuel cell - in the end I had to check gamefaqs for the solution (bloody giant war golem).

Overall, I thought it was a damn good game, very similar to the previous two but made all the better for free aiming with the Wii remote and the various little touches (grappling with the nunchuck, twisting the remote for certain switches etc.) making it a much more enjoyable process. The final boss was a bit straightforward though - I'm sure the final battles in Prime and Echoes were much more tricky.

I'll give it 8 why-won't-this-bloody-door-open-I'm-being-shot-at's out of 10.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Pretty good actually. It captured the spirit of the films (okay, books) really well, and the open world mechanic suited it much more than your standard movie tie-in platform game. Mostly it was kind of 'take that over there, so talk to that guy, rinse and repeat' but it held my interest to the end and it made for a nice chilled out break in between bouts of Ninja Gaiden 2.

6/10.

I stuck in Killzone yesterday with the intention of finishing it but couldn't because it was rubbish. So then I tried to at least finish the first level, but no, it's really very poor. It makes me angry and frustrated and hungry and I hate it and it's going in the bin. Worst game I've played since SSX3.

2/10

Stare directly at the sun. Good for you. Vitamin D.
