Quite enjoyable, the puzzles were good but never too challenging, the bosses were easy if you upgrade Fidget, but then I think that was just because I played on Normal difficulty. My highest combo was about 450 or so, so no idea how i'm meant to get the 1,000 that it asks of you in the achievements.

There's an item you can equip which lowers your Attack and Fidget stats. If you equip that and remove anything which raises your stats, then find an area with lots of enemies, it's easily done.

Brothers - A tale of two sons. 9/10
A strawberry floating masterpiece. I might get slated for this, but I'm going to say better than Ico. It's very obviously heavily inspired by it, but in my opinion, it surpasses it in all areas. strawberry float. It blew me away. The controls do take 'some' getting used to but once you're over that you can just enjoy the strawberry float out of the experience, landscape, world and design. It's the perfect length.

I sat through the credits, the development team is so small

Wario Land 2 (GBC, 3DS VC)

Ehh... Don't like it much as original to be honest.

Don't like that level select is locked out till you've beaten last boss and it just doesn't feel solid as first, which I loved very much so.

Still decent game though, gonna get Wario Land 3 sometime when am able to.

Saints Row 2 - 7/10

+ Quite a lot of the missions are good fun
+ Enjoyable soundtrack/radio stations
+ Raises a few smiles at times from the humour
+ Some of the diversions/activities are pretty enjoyable
+ I like the gaining territory side of things
+ Customisation options are good

- Looks pretty awful
- Some incredibly frustrating/shitty AI and controls at times

Started to get bored as I neared the end, and I won't be going back to do any more of the activities/races/etc. Decent game though, mildly interested in picking up Saints Row 3 or 4 now.

ZombiU - 7/10

Some end of game woes/flaws prevented me from giving this a higher rating. Loved it up until the fetch quest the game sends you on, and the resolution of that. I didn't manage to escape in the end.

Resident Evil Revelations 3DS: 8/10 Pretty enjoyable Resi game. Infinitely more fun than the disaster that was Resi 6.

Donkey Kong (NES) 5/10 Still a fairly fun game, but it sucks that we'll forever end up with the NES version being peddled out rather than the superior arcade version.

Super Mario Bros. (NES) 8/10 Dated but still a lot of fun.

Persona 4 golden - 10/10

Best JRPG I've played in years. Strange mix of Pokemon battles and high school dating sim but somehow I found both sides captivating. Well written and heartwarming too. Clever use of calendar / time meant by the end I truly felt I had spent a year with the characters.

Only negatives are the slightly repetitive J-pop soundtrack and still a lot of Japanese isms : Senpai chan, San etc. but considering the origin, the western localisation and translation was superb.

Gunpoint - 9/10. Excellent.

Funny and a bloody good game. Not sure I did the last level "right" though.

I think I jumped towards the exit and got shot by a sniper but my body made it to the level exit so it finished the game.

edit: And importantly, not too bloody long. Had a quick go on it yesterday, but finished it today in two or three hours. Perfect.

Eternal Darkness - 7/10

Good fun and a great game for Gamecube's release. Bit repetitive though and sometimes the puzzles are dumb.

Shadow Warrior

Good fun, funny, and looked surprisingly nice, but went on for too long. The Boss fights were awful and dragged on way too long.

Castle of Illusion HD - 7/10

Pretty good. Would've quite like to have had the original with it as well but never mind. I think I read someone was having trouble with Mizrabel? God knows why, she was pretty easy.

Land of Illusion next pls.

Guacamelee - 8/10.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. The gameplay is well paced, the graphical style is crisp, the abilities are fun and add depth to the combat. It's not the hardest game, though it does have a few platforming challenges (squirreled away in optional areas) and the later bosses are old fashioned "learn the patterns or die swiftly" affairs - both of which I liked quite a bit honestly. Surprising endings too. Unexpectedly serious, given the generally goofy tone of the game, but I felt they worked.

Jeanne D'arc on PSP. 8/10, as someone who isn't a massive fan of strategy RPGs I actually really enjoyed this. It's a good looking game, not overly difficult and the story is pretty decent. It loses a couple of points for some poorly signposted difficulty spikes and the curse of many an RPG, missable items.

Isn't it funny how for some of the major games series (like RE), the handheld spin-offs seem to be so much better than the big AAA TV-console releases?

Bravely Default is also the best Final Fantasy game that has been released in a long while (despite the fact that it's not, strictly speaking, a Final Fantasy game).

The Stanley Parabale 8.5/10
Very witty and very funny. As a game designer, it's an amazing psychological experiment and I really appreciate the thought that has gone into it. The writing and voice acting are great, my only complaint is the dated graphics and there aren't quite enough secrets for me. I checked a flowchart and I have had every ending but the one that requires you to play for 4 hours. Can't strawberry floating do that speedrun
