Admittedly to have won like this is a little bittersweet, but at the same time the knowledge that in doing so I have finally crushed my forum arch nemesis, Corazon de Leon, as well as smacking down that young upstart Curls, will go along way to helping me sleep at night.

I would like to send a message to my dear friend Corazon De Deadpool. I know we have been defeated by the truly evil Mockmaster, but I would like to think that this experience has somewhat brought us a little closer. I remember when we both voted for Man City one week and the sudden realisation, that maybe we have more in common than we originally thought. I may be a desperate dreamer and you may be an old man who constantly reminisces about how good life used to be. But, it's events like this that make you realise how similar we really all are (except for the evil Mockmaster). I am rambling, stuttering even; trying to think of what words to say, but I..I guess I just wanted to say that if for whatever reason we have to go through the absolute hell we've just been through again, it would be you who I'd choose to do it with me. Towards the end I soon realised that all though we were a whole 4 hours apart from each other, it did not really matter at all, we were the same, we almost had gained it all, but we both felt what it was like to have it ripped away from you. The evil Mockmaster has won this time, and yes he may Mock us and he may be the new Master. But I believe that next time, with our new found courage and knowledge of how truly horrific defeat can be, we will come back stronger better and maybe even harder. We may even be enemies in the future but I know we'll always have shared that moment together.. and I for one was just happy to have somebody to share it with. For I do not know what I would have done if it was just I.
Some people may think it's a shame that whenever we look back on this win, we will all know it was won on a technicality, rather than through skill or talent, but that is nothing to be ashamed of.
Personally, I wouldn't let it bother me, nor should it sully the win for you.
Sure maybe the best man didn't win, but sometimes things turn out that way.
You should be rightly proud to have your name displayed alongside the other winners. Sure you didn't actually really win it, but that doesn't matter to me, and it shouldn't matter to you.
Just because you won not for your prediction skills or talent, but because of a time limit your competitor failed to meet should take nothing away from this achievement.
Sometimes it's not always the best man that wins. We all know this is how the world works sometimes, and just because you weren't necessarily the best man should not detract from what otherwise could may have been considered a skill full win.
I won this for the milkman who gets up at 5:30am in the middle of a force 5 gale to ensure the residents of Cromby street have something to stir in their tea. I won this for the proud McDonalds employees who will not serve you a breakfast even 1 second after 11 in the morning. I won this for the referee who blows his whistle at exactly 3pm on the dot so as not to let down tens of thousands of expectant fans and throw the television schedules into chaos. I won this for Big Ben, for Timex, for Seconda, for Casio. For Accurist and Chronoswiss. I won this for the 10 second countdown on New Year's Eve. I won this for the Sun and the Moon. Without people like them and me who abide by the rules, we'd be living in a world not dissimilar to The Last of Us. Is that what you want? Because that's what will happen, and then there would be no Last Man Standing at all, and none of us want that.
