Kingdom Series 2 - Loved this. I know its zombies and we're tripping over zombie series right now but I love the time period and the small number of episodes means the storytelling is really tight and focussed. Hoping to watch Ashin of the North next week

Squid Game 7.5/10 - I enjoyed it and would recommend it, I just didn't love it as much as other people. I preferred Alice in Borderland.

Finished Squid Game yesterday, enjoyed it a lot but agree with what others have said.

- VIP part was odd. Acting/lines they did was terrible.
- I didn't guess the old man would be the one running it, so was surprised by that. But also the reason for it that rich people like gambling and need something more exciting seemed a bit weak or an easy reason
- Thought the policeman within the game was really good, guessed his brother would be the masked man or the man running it, but an odd ending to that story. But if season 2 is confirmed then that makes sense
- Marbles episode was great!
- The glass bridge wasn't really a kids game was it, I think they were going for hopscotch, but not really the same. Also not helped that was the VIP episode
- Not really sure if I want a second season... Not sure how it will work as it won't be so unexpected, but I guess they have ideas

I think that game was based on stepping stones not hopscotch

Squid Games, a more violent Takeshi’s Castle

Like Outrunner, I enjoyed it but preferred Alice in Borderland.

People Just Do Nothing 1 & 2

9 or 10 each. Second time watching and it's just as funny the second time round. There are some genuinely heartfelt moments in the second series as well, such as the stuff with Beats and his stepson, Craig.

Midnight Mass. Something about this isn't clicking with me. I'm a couple of episodes but not really feeling invested in whats happening. I'm not sure whether to carry on and hope it gets better (not that it's bad) or just call it quits.

The Walking Dead S9 - 2/10; peace treaties, bandits on the same road they travel down for years, food trades, Darryl’s never ending supply of arrows, Alpha :fp:

I just want to see how it ends and I’m playing catch up, this was the worlds #1. show at one point, you’d watch Talking Dead for snippets of next week, S10’s gotta improve surely? :slol:

Season 10 is a massive improvement on previous seasons. Yes, there are still some stupid moments (and yes I enjoy moaning about them.) but it’s excellent. There are two or three episodes that really stands out.

I kind of wished I’d jumped off at Rick’s final episode as that felt like it could have acted as a nice enough end and I thought it was by far the highlight of series 9, series 10 is an improvement over 9 but still far from how good it was in the earlier series of TWD, I’ve started 11 but not finding it that good really, mainly as they’ve gone for yet another group to fight rather than focusing on other stuff for its last series.

It escalates massively in the last few episodes.

The Good Place Series 1-4 10/10

Loved this, thought it was great throughout. I get what people say about it repeating itself, which I guess it does a bit but not enough for me to care (and I probably wouldn't have twigged it if I hadn't read comments here before watching it). I really enjoyed its plot driven structure and had some real laugh out land moments. Sad that it ended but glad it didn't outstay its welcome.

Sounds like what happened to Fear the Walking Dead.

Not sure the scars season 4 left will ever heal.

The Haunting of Bly Manor - 8/10

I enjoyed this a lot more than Hill House, it was really well written and acted.

Sex Education is one of the best and most consistent programmes I’ve watched in a long time, enjoy the rest of series 3!

I’m rewatching Haunting of Hill House at the moment and still think it’s really good, maybe better in some ways on a second watch. I’ll be rewatching Bly Manor too, I preferred Bly Manor to Hill House when I first watched them so imagine it’ll continue over to the second watch.

I felt that Hill House spent too much time focusing on the grown up characters and the funeral home rather than when they were kids in the house with their parents but maybe that's just me.

Bly Manor just seemed to do the whole haunted house premise so much better.

Hill House was much scarier than Bly Manor though, plus it didn’t have a bunch of dodgy accents pulling me out of the experience.

I really liked that aspect of Hill House though, seeing how their troubled childhood impacted on their adult lives, the episodes do a nice job of focusing on one or two of them per episode as well so it doesn’t overwhelm the viewer. I love the reveal near the end as well.

Hill House is definitely scarier, Bly Manor is more of a love story with scary elements. Really enjoyed them both though along with Midnight Mass.
