Definitely going to watch Squid Games once I’ve got Sex Education finished off, which I’m now halfway through and very much enjoying it.

Upmto the penultimate episode of Sex Education now, it's still phenomenally good IMO, only problem it has is competing with itself in the past and how it's hard to stay fresh when people know what sort of thing to expect and hold you to a high standard.

I think it's gone to some interesting new places in this series

Yea same. Major echoes of this batshit mental Japanese movie with a similar concept (Leave Fate to Gods, or As the Gods Wish or something), but enjoyable nonsense.

Episode 2: surprise at the overall course of the episode. Wasn't expecting them to leave and to get to know more about their lives outside the arena
Episode 3: genuine tension during the honeycomb game and an audible gasp when the first guy broke his umbrella
Episode 4: goosebumps during the tug of war after the old man's speech

Squid Game :o

Yea same! I'm really impressed by how well it's managing the tone. The premise is ridiculous and the set design only hammers it home, and it could easily fall over into complete absurdity but somehow it's managing to consistently teeter on the right side of silly to keep me involved in the characters rather than waiting for them to die.

Or it could just be that Ms Mysterious is smoking hot. :datass:

Just finished series 3 of Sex Education, its just fantastic TV. I live in hope that this is one series where they’ll end it on a proper high and doesn’t go the way so many longer running series seem to these days. There was a couple of bits that I didn’t massively enjoy in series 3 but nothing that detracted from the series overall.

Enterprise series 3, I tend to forget how much I enjoyed this first time round. I wasn't a huge fan of series 1 but it definitely found its footing as it went on. I like that it was set in a different time period to TNG/DS9/Voyager (not that I have anything against that time period) and it's a shame it didn't get a full run like previous series

Watching through Peep Show again and it's even better than I remember. Has a funnier programme ever been made? I can't think of one.

Yep, I adore Peep Show. Perhaps lost its way a tad in the final seasons, but I don't know how much of that was down to familiarity and there not really being anywhere left to take the characters by that point.

The peak years of the show are definitely up there with the best of them.

15 minutes into the first episode of Squid Games and already despise the main character, I’ll stick it out till the end of the first episode but not enjoying it much as this very early stage.

Season 7-8 are the low point. But it rallies in the last one. Some of the episodes in that are amazing. The first one has so many great lines in it.
