He really could have sold the lie better. Saying things like "I've never heard of Craig David" and flip flopping on "it's definitely not so and so" really doesn't help him.

Having said that, I'm sure it's easy to say without being in the spot under the lights and the cameras. Also, not sure how accurate the show is but it appears they didn't actually plan it until the night before.

Buffy Season 6

Much better than I remember but strawberry float me, Xander really is an abhorrent banana split by this point. Whiny, selfish and manipulative. Probably just like the actor himself then if his record of domestic violence is anything to go by.

I've never seen the final season so I'm really looking forward to it. Although I had it spoiled ages ago which characters die :(

DEVS - 7/10

I genuinely don’t know how much I enjoyed this. I loved the ideas behind it and thought the performances were good (Ron Swanson ), but I’m not satisfied with the conclusion or a lot of the steps on the way.

It’s a good show to make you think but you’ll almost certainly end up with different thoughts to the show.

Just watched the first episode of Gangs of London based purely on it being by the guy who did The Raid. Didn’t realise it was an hour and a half when I stuck it on but strawberry float me the action in this is brilliant. Very similar to The Raid in terms of style.

Since February I've watched through Parks and Recreation, and Community with the wife and they're both excellent. 10/10 for Parks and Rec and probably 8/10 for Community. If Community had finished after 3 seasons it would be legendary. The fourth season was decent, fifth season and sixth seasons were good but just didn't have quite the same magic, especially when Troy left. Parks and Rec was solidly brilliant all the way through with one of the best series finales I've seen. Loved every minute of it.

Couldn't disagree with any of that, Cora.

Once Parks shakes off its slow start with the first season, it really hits its stride and is consistent until the end.

Just finished For All Mankind as it's free at the moment on Apple.

strawberry floating awesome/10  .

It's an alternative history of what may have happened if the Soviets got to the moon first and it's just bloody fabulous. The story isn't all that far fetched and the actions taken are believable and the rollercoaster of emotions is just amazing.

Even if you don't normally like space stuff I urge you to give this a try as it's really, really special.

Absolutely. As a six episode introduction to the cast and characters it's fine, but as soon as season 2 kicks off it's on another level. I was dreading Adam Scott and Rob Lowe coming into it because I don't really like them, but they were fantastic additions to the cast. Loved the whole thing really. And Ron Swanson.

Huh, I'll have to try Parks again. I tried a few episodes and ended up going to community instead and binged it until halfway through the last season where I gave up.

Maybe start from season 2 - the ramp up in quality is crazy. Community I struggled with the final season as well. It helped that I really love Keith David and it was still funny but it wasn’t the same show.

Interestingly, Ken Jeong and Joel McHale have been running a podcast where they chat gooseberry fool about Community and it’s been really good.

It’s called The Darkest Timeline, they chat about the show, Ken uses his MD to discuss best practice for Covid in the states and they have guests on - Andrew Yang, the politician, Gillian Jacobs who plays Britta on the show. It’s been surprisingly good, they’re clearly good mates and just wind each other up all the way through.

Yeah, pretty much my take, although I'd lower Parks to a 9 and Community to a 7.5.

LOL Parks is fun but can't even come close to Community at its best, hell even average Community is a better show!

I'm not sure about Community at its best v Parks at its best, but Community very noticeably drops in quality after Season 3 whereas Parks maintains it from 2 all the way to 7, so overall its easily the stronger show in my opinion.

Parks is definitely more consistent and I think Community has a shorter peak, season 1 and 2 are incredible but most of the rest are rocky to various degrees. But it's much more my kind of show so even the weaker points have things that really appeal to me in a way that Parks doesn't.

I’m currently rewatching Community and the drop in quality has already happened. We just started season 3 today and I can only remember the odd episodes from it so hopefully it’s as good as I remember, but it’s been massively downhill since that strawberry floating claymation Christmas piece of gooseberry fool.

Parks is a top tier comedy alongside People Just Do Nothing.
