I don't think that was the consensus on this forum, we all seemed to enjoy it as much or more than the first season.

I'd say "Gillian Anderson :datass: " but I worry you'll tell me she was ropey in the 90s. ;)

True fact, Gillian Anderson is about 10x hotter now.

In Sex Education she's not bad for an old bird but nah. Not for me.

Even in her peak she was still ordinary. Just my opinion...

I finished both The Good Place and Bojack Horseman over the weekend

I can't handle this many feelings

Last night's episode of Inside No 9 wasn't great though so that was probably some universal balance going on

13 Reasons Why: Season 2 - 10/10

Emotional, harrowing (as with season 1, some moments were really difficult to watch), brilliantly acted by an amazing cast, and the best series i've watched so far this year.

Just finished watching the excellent history/art series Civilisations. A fascinating and moving examination of our history to create and document across mans existence. A must watch for all IMO- https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/ ... ilisations

Or don't watch it and be a twat.

Good Omens 7/10- Starts out well then flounders a bit.

The best bits are the interactions between David Tennant and Michael Sheen, everything else it a bit meh/silly (though from what I've seen before that feels a bit Pratchetty?) Unfortunately most of the interaction happens in the first few episodes.

Finally plucked up the courage to finish BoJack Horseman. Just perfect.

Really struggle to think of anything that achieves what this show has done over the last few years. So glad they got to give it a proper ending.

It's basically the perfect recreation of the book - problems/flawas and all. I think they were too respecting of Pratchet they didn't want to try to adjust/remove the problems.

Picard S1 - 5/10

Oh Dear. I really want to like this as Trekie and Sci-Fi fan. But it's not not very good.
There's a mutlitude of problems with it as a 'Trek' show...but even if you ignore all of them it falls flat as it's own beast.
it’s content to slide from one pathos heavy or whiz-bang moment to the next with only the most tenuous of nods to what's happened before (in Picard), story threads are introduced and dropped at random (Spoiler for Episode 10 The Big Bad set up in episod 9 is quickly discovered as a shadey character and turned off without any problem or issue and there's no coherence to internal narrative. It's full of basic story telling errors to constantly disconnect the audience. If a show doesn't care to follow through on any story element, why should it's audience? Picard dies from a brain condition. He doesn't tell his old friends, one of whom just helped save him, so we get a bunch of people that we barely know mourn him...for about 10 minutes and then surprising no one he's a Golem. He's not superhuman. He's not younger. He'll still die naturally of old age, the old difference is they removed that pesky brain condition that had him die right in is prime at...94. It's the wierdest antilimatic payoff to a season long attempt to give something weight I've ever seen...I mean everyone and their dog guessed Picard would be the Golem...but somehow they managed to make it even stupider.
The "saving" grace is the actors are, laregely, all good. They're giving it there all and some scenes genuinely work. S2 has (minor spoiler) the chance for a clean sheet, so the show could be salvaged...with better writers and show runners.

Tiger King - wtf/10

It’s best to go into this one blind, don’t look anything up until you’ve watched the whole thing.

It explains a lot about America though, it’s no wonder Trump got elected.

Is it worth watching? What is it actually about?

Yeah I really enjoyed it. It’s about a redneck “zoo” owner and I can’t really say any more without ruining it.

Finished Tiger King recently myself, definitely agree with the rating of "WTF/10"!

Such a bunch of strawberry floated up people in this, I knew that the US was home to some crazies but this does just make you realise that they are everywhere!

It's better to go in completely blind. What I will say is, even though it's essentially a documentary about big cat zoos in America, there's not really that much focus on big cats...

Definitely worth watching though, even though you'll probably end up hating most of the cast of characters with a few exceptions.

It’s best to go in blind but at the same time it’s almost impossible to spoil the show. I could list 20 separate things that happen and there’d still be hundreds of even crazier things I forgot to mention.

Indeed. I'd completely forgotten that one of the characters was the inspiration for strawberry floating SCARFACE....and possibly the most sane of the lot until someone mentioned it in the other thread
